The hand-railed staircase and deck allows you watch the awe inspiring sunrises and sunsets. From September to March the deck is an excellent viewing area to watch and photograph the Northern Lights. If you feel a chill, you can still enjoy the view from the comfort of the living room looking through the patio door and large picture windows. Moose, lynx, red fox and rabbits can frequently be seen in the surrounding area. The living room has a futon sofa sleeper, end tables with lamps and a 65” High Definition Television. You’ll be able to enjoy watching a variety of specialty television apps as well as satellite television with local Alaskan channels so you can always be informed of the changing weather. With windows throughout the living room, kitchen and dining areas, a large ceiling fan will provide that fresh, open air feeling.For the winter vacationer, when entering the cottage, you’ll pass through an arctic vestibule where you can remove your coats, jackets and shoes.
