Welcome to our camp on Akers Pond! Enjoy the amenities of home in the great north woods. The main floor has a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, one full bathroom, and a living room with flatscreen TV and an electric fireplace. All beds are located on the second floor. The bedroom has a full size and twin bed. The open sleeping area has an additional 4 full size beds. There are two air conditioners on the second floor for the warm summer nights. On the front of the camp, we have a bonus room with a bar that boasts amazing views of Akers Pond and the surrounding mountains. On the lower lawn, there is a fire pit by the water. Guests will have access to the dock shown in the pictures. This side of the pond is shallow, allowing flat bottom boats to dock in front of the camp. We just bought the camp last year and continue to do upgrades. So far, we have done new flooring on the main level, new range, new water heater, new toilet, new tv, and a leather couch. Included with the camp is a smart TV, outdoor grill, and fiber optic high-speed Wi-Fi. Enjoy fishing, hiking, boating, ATVing and much more in beautiful Errol NH. The state boat launch is a 1/2 mile down the road. The house has a game room including air hockey table, and board games. There is plenty of room for a big group of people. Our cozy 2 bed 1 bath cottage in the Great North Woods is the perfect retreat for those seeking comfort and outdoor adventures. In the winter, the area offers snowmobiling with direct access to trails, snowshoeing, skiing, and ice fishing on the pond. Fish include rainbow trout, smallmouth bass, perch, bluegill, and others. For more experienced hiker there are great views at the old Spek. 4,180 feet upAkers Pond which is located directly across the street from the house has you covered with great views of bear mountain, great fishing, bird watching, bald eagles, blue herons and tons of other birds, the occasional moose or bear. Lake Umbagog is a huge lake with tons of views and wildlife. Easily accessible and about 15 minutes from the house.Androscoggin River. I love fishing this river. Tons of moose and wildlife can be seen right off the road some days. Kayak, tube, fish, swim. Milan state park is great for hiking, fishing, picnicking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and has a wonderful view of mountain ranges in VT, ME, and NH from the fire tower. LL Cotes is a great place to go shopping for almost anything you need, gas, groceries, outdoor clothing, fishing equipment, guns, kayaks, snowmobiling gear and local souvenirs. Colebrook NH has your nearest grocery store and a few destinations. Bring a cooler to keep your stuff cold. To get there you pass Dixville Notch state park.
