Hiking trails, fishing ponds, large area for boat parking. Three miles from Mississippi and Turkey river access. Clayton county is an ATV friendly riding is permitted on all county roads. Tubes available for use on the turkey. Large barn available for dances, wedding receptions, birthday parties, class reunions etc. ***When renting the house, the ponds and other areas are available for use without extra cost at anytime but NOT included with the house. We allow our family to use the property behind the house (ponds, woods) at any time. There may be traffic past the house (ATV, motorcycles, tractors) because the road to the ponds runs by the house to a trail. We hope you understand and feel free to use the paddle boards, fishing poles etc. at the pond and feel free to hike the woodland all at your own risk! We have a very active family that also enjoys the freedom from the city! Welcome to the Railway Lodge, The Cottage is the most recent cabin we’ve added to our large spacious area, we now have 2 cabins close but still very private away. So if your looking to add more guests we also have The Cabin which sleeps 4. The area is secluded yet close to fun attractions. The property is right next to bloody run trout stream so bring your fishing pole and experience the great fishing in the beautiful area. Newly built recently is our pond. We do provide 2 kayaks and a paddle boat on site. The pond is private but is shared with the other cabin guests. The large yard area gives you plenty of room to explore. We do have charcoal grill on site but you need to provide charcoal. We are right next to Spook Cave so definitely a must to take a cave tour! Don’t be alarmed with the trains that come by it actually is pretty cool at night with the lights “ Railway Lodge”Sitting by a warm fire is what it’s all about. Fire wood is also on site for fee. We are close to area attractions like beautiful McGregor , Praire du chien. Pikes Peak, Effigy Mounds if you enjoy hiking. We also offer only for The Cottage guests for a “fee” a full rv hookup site.
