Welcome to The Treehouse! This is the place to come for relaxation and rejuvenation!The Treehouse is a totally private, beautiful house in a wooded 10 acres. It overlooks a small, spring fed, half acre pond...with mountain views. 7 minutes from RT I-91 and close to everything. There are no other houses in sight and all 10 acres are available for walking, boating and exploring. This is a unique home with an open floor plan, cathedral ceiling and lots of windows. Built in 2008, the house is quiet and peaceful. Furnishings Include some Frank Lloyd Wright designed dining chairs from Copeland furniture in Bradford and a hand waxed Ellis dining table, made from old New England tobacco barn boards. There is a main floor bedroom with a queen size bed and Copeland dresser, mirror and chair. The open loft has a queen and a full size bed, and a sofa. The large, open floor plan living room has 2 sofas. The house is heated with oil and includes reliable internet and smart TV with Netflix. It also boasts 2 decks on the East and West sides of the house and 1 deck by the the pond for stargazing and wildlife viewing. Or for just sitting and reading. There is a fire pit by the pond and canoeing and kayaking are available on the pond with paddles and pfd's in the Pond House. Wood is provided for the fire pit. There are some short hiking trails around the property as well. Our property manager, Morgan, lives nearby and is a wonderful resource for all things Vermont. He is also a personal chef and is available to cook a dinner or brunch right there at the house for you. Just give him a call to check his availability.This property is an ideal getaway situated on beautifully kept grounds. There is a real sense of being in the country with some rustic, some kitch, and some elegant and artful touches. There is a brand new Pergo floor which was just installed. The bedroom and loft are air conditioned, which cools the entire house, and the main living room has two overhead Casablanca fans for cooling in the summer...even though it stands at 1,000 feet above sea level! Note: The ground floor office is not part of the rental and is unoccupied.
