My family and I (5 of us) recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming homestay in Hongcun for two days and one night, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The building, steeped in history at 400 years old, is located relatively close to the West entrance, making access a breeze. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and well-kept. Although I initially booked three specific rooms, they were unavailable due to renovation. However, I was provided with three other rooms that turned out to be more spacious, which was a delightful surprise. The lobby felt incredibly welcoming, with a cozy living-room-style atmosphere. There’s a lovely café to the left and a souvenir shop to the right, adding a nice touch of convenience and charm as you walk toward the living area. Wan Jie (elder sister Wan), the host, was truly hospitable and attentive. Her warmth shone through from our first phone call, which she answered cheerfully while helping arrange our pickup, as cars aren’t allowed into Hongcun, a UNESCO Heritage Site. One of the highlights of this homestay was the restaurant nestled in a ”secret” garden—a serene and picturesque spot where my family and I could have happily spent more time. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, adding to the overall experience. Though it was too cool to use during my visit, the homestay also features a pool that would be perfect for summer days. At the end of our stay, Wan Jie went above and beyond by accompanying us to the village exit to wait for our driver, ensuring everything went smoothly before saying her goodbyes. It’s rare to experience such personalized hospitality, and it made a memorable impression on us. Based on my positive experience, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Hongcun. It’s a unique blend of history, comfort, and genuine hospitality that truly enhances the visit.

夫妻倆經營的客棧，兩人都很熱情。開車過去的，提前聯繫了，還好老闆娘提前幫忙找了停車位，不然根本沒地方停車。客棧環境很乾凈，兩張1.5米的床，一家三口住，非常不錯。客棧離宏村門口很近，步行大約五分鐘。價格也合適。非常nice👍

Zhang Mansion is a peaceful oasis from the hustle and bustle of the ancient village, its decor and furnishing is fitting with the historic setting but with modern, clean and comfortable amenities. Would definitely stay again and would strongly recommend to others! Hotel manager was very communicative, but you need to have WeChat. They can communicate in English by message with you. The rooms were stunning, service was excellent and the communal areas were beautiful and comfortable. Hotel breakfast was freshly made and they were able to accommodate our requests. Some of the rooms require ascending steep stairs, so if you have accessibility needs it would be best to inform the hotel in advance. Bedrooms are comfortable and cosy. The addition of the tea ceremony area is brilliant. The mattresses and bedding were clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were clean with good pressure hot water. The hotel also put us in touch with a honest and reliable driver that we used for transfers from the bullet train station as well as a trip to Huang Shan (yellow mountain).

The Pig’s Inn is a very cozy place that makes you feel like home. Bishan village is far away from the city so I asked the hotel for help with taxi arrangement. Manager Fang Xin (方鑫) gave me the contact to the driver who was always on time and gave me lots of tips about hiking up mount Huang. The room in the hotel was really clean and warm regardless of the very cold weather outside. The hotel staff is super nice, they waited for us with dinner till really late. As my family is really picky when it comes to food Pig’s Inn was a perfect place to eat dinner and breakfast as they made all the dishes according to the needs of my family. In the evening there was a huge spider in our room (came there suddenly), the nice woman form the hotel helped us to remove it from the room. Everything was perfect and our trip was really nice thanks to the Pig’s Inn ☺️

Khi đến nơi, chúng tôi đã rất ngạc nhiên! Chủ nhà rất tốt bụng, một chàng trai trẻ rất vui vẻ, và mọi thứ đều được sắp xếp hoàn hảo – cảm ơn anh ấy! Hơn nữa, khi chúng tôi đi xem những ngôi nhà khác trong khu danh lam thắng cảnh, chúng tôi thấy về cơ bản chúng đều giống như nhà nghỉ này, vì vậy việc ở lại đây cho phép chúng tôi được chiêm ngưỡng những ngôi nhà tiêu biểu nhất từ ​​thời kỳ đó.

Great room with modern equipments. The mix between old and new was a good idea. But big warning : we arrived, the room was disgusting. Hairs everywhere on the floor, bathroom with poop traces on toilets, surfaces like tables were dirty. Futhermore, we stayed 1 week. They changed the sheets, bathroom stuffs aswell and gave us water. But thats all. Not cleaning in a week. Please, you need to be careful about hygien because this is really scary. Ps : the hotel manager was a kind person but sleeping and smoking on the coach isnt professionnel. Pitty we had to do our cleaning because this could have been a awesome week on this accommodation.

Phòng rộng rãi, là căn hộ thông tầng trần cao mang phong cách Huệ Châu. Kỳ nghỉ khá dễ chịu, mặc dù phòng tắm hơi sơ sài. Hơn nữa, vào các dịp lễ, nhà nghỉ B&B này không có lễ tân hay dịch vụ khách hàng. Tôi phải gọi chủ nhà để lấy chìa khóa. Nhìn chung, đây là một kỳ nghỉ tốt.

Từ quảng trường nhỏ gần cổng làng, rẽ phải ở ngã tư đầu tiên và rẽ trái ở ngã tư tiếp theo trong con hẻm trước Quán trà Tạ Dục Đại; mất khoảng một phút đi bộ. Đi bộ từ nhà khách đến cổng phía tây mất hai phút. Sau khi qua cầu, có rất nhiều nhà hàng, bao gồm các quán trà truyền thống và các quầy hàng thịt nướng vào ban đêm. Nhà khách nằm trên con phố phía sau của khu thương mại chính, một vị trí tốt nhưng yên tĩnh. Chủ nhà rất tốt bụng; khi chúng tôi đến cổng chính hoặc cổng phía tây, chủ nhà thậm chí còn ra đón và chỉ đường cho chúng tôi. Mặc dù đây là nhà khách, nhưng rất sạch sẽ. Chúng tôi ở trên tầng hai và không hề ẩm ướt n*** cả vào mùa thu và mùa đông. Phòng tắm không có vòi sen và nhà vệ sinh riêng biệt, nhưng khá rộng đối với một nhà khách.
