Me and my husband stumbled across this lovely country establishment by accident while staying at a local caravan site and we enjoyed the warm and welcoming ambience and good food, so much, we returned with our friends both evenings during our weekend stay. The food is lovely, nothing was too much trouble, in terms of tweaks to our orders and the landlady and staff are very down to earth, cheerful, friendly and efficient. We would definitely recommend and return when next in the area.

Beautiful food, great service and beautiful landlady, definitely recommend and return here! The setting where this place is located is stunning and fortunately I was only a 10 minute walk away, the weather wasn’t the best but hey every season has it’s beauty and what I liked even more was I could get here for a day out!😁😁

3rd Visit in the last week. Once for drinks, on e for dinner and today for Sunday lunch. I can say on both occasions when we ate, the food was outstanding. Sunday lunch I have to say was rhe nicest I have had in a long time. Quality products, presentation excellent and service second to none. Professional and caring staff. The owner ,who was present throughout our visits could not have been more welcoming. Is there any negative comments , Noooo

Cosy, clean , fabulous food and ideal centre for biking in the Dales. Garage available for bikes during stay. Staff amazing , nothing a trouble. Owners are a making a big push on updating the premises for the future , so it is work in progress , but no issues .Thank you.

Excellent stay in this lovely inn. Nice room and superb food. A good range of cask beers and a decent wine list. The staff were brilliant - very friendly, attentive and great attention to detail. The breakfast was really good and the portions were substantial, so we were set up for the day. We will certainly be back.

Once again a superb meal and excellent service. We travel especially to visit this pub and have brought friends with us as we know they’ll love it too. The food is always delicious and beautifully presented but it’s the staff who make the difference and they are all absolutely lovely. Thank you. We’ll be back again soon.

We have eaten here before when we’ve stayed at Thornbrook Campsite which was a ten minute walk We went for Sunday lunch (just the 2 of us) and couldn’t manage puddings as the lunch was such a decent size Booking was simple - staff were great - well worth a visit

Just had a few days walking with friends and stayed here. Fabulous. The pub serves real ales from local breweries (and it's Cask Marque certified) and all the beer we had was on top form. The food menu was short but interesting and the quality was top notch. Beef suet puddings, local lamb and pork cooked to perfection and served by knowledgeable friendly staff. Wish it was my local!

Just had the best curry EVER. Made by Gazz the chef. No great piles of rice or huge naans, just a delicious lamb curry, small amount of wild rice, tasty beetroot pickle, raita, salad and a crisp poppadom! Good atmosphere, polite not pushy staff, good selection of wines, extensive choice of home made 'puddings with a difference'.
