Glykeria Hotel

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Glykeria Hotel. The location and pool was very convenient. Maria was so attentive and helpful. She provided expert guidance on where and how to go and when. Their restaurant across the street is also excellent. I wish that we had stayed longer.

The view, pool, room and location of this place are enough to give it a top rating but the host, Maria, is what puts it over the top. She was so warm and treated us as if our showing up made her day. I heard her talking to everyone with the same enthusiasm and kindness. She provided us with a list of beaches to visit along with Elaphonisi. I wouldn't have gone to them if not for her recommendations and White Beach turned out to be one of our favorites of the trip. Their restaurant was very good and the service was professional and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed here with friends while traveling through Crete. The rooms are pleasant , with a nice patio in each. The pool makes a welcome refresher at the end of the day. Restaurant serves a variety of dishes, although they often “ran out” of their specialties before we could get them. We would return again. Recommend a room above ground level.

Amazing experience!! Maria is so helpful, at arrival we got a list of great spots in the area, beautiful towels and beachbag and umbrella to take to Elafonisi Beach. The pool and all seats outside are available all the time. Breakfast was wonderful and staff is very sweet and professional. And maybe most important.. Beds are very good!! Great matrasses! Slept like babies after a long drive! 5 out of 5 stars!

My visit was a short last minute booking. I was made to feel very welcome and local information was given to me on arrival. The restaurant was lovely for dinner and breakfast. The restaurant also serves as Reception, so you will find your key there:)

Nice hotel, well equipped , nicely furnished and very well managed by a friendly couple. Just across the street there is their good restaurant where you can also have breakfast in the morning . Highly recommended!

Outstanding food and service in this family run hotel outside Elafonisi. Stunning sea and mountain views from the very comfortable and spotless rooms. We arrived late at night and were greeted in the car park with large cold bottles of water followed by a beautiful supper. Nothing was any trouble for the staff, and the owner, Nikos, dropped us to the beach after a lovely breakfast the next morning. We were sorry not to have been staying longer, but we started our walking trip that day.

Fantastic Hotel!! Small with only 10 rooms, however it’s set up on the small hill with outstanding views, excellent facilities, a beautiful pool and amazing staff. Thank you to Nickos and Maria for a truly wonderful stay. You are a credit to your business and your hard work is truly paying off. I will review the food on their restaurant listing, however have to mention that breakfast is cooked to order in their restaurant across the road and is some of the most amazing food I have tasted. I only have 2 suggestions to this hotel; 1 is the sliding door to the balcony slides inside the wall and there is no handle on the outside. So if you close the door behind you, it’s not easy to reopen it. 2, there is a slight smell of drains in the room, however we also understand the drainage system is not the best in Crete. Neither of these comments warrant a reduction in score. 5* Well done!!
