Excellent location, hotel, and service. There was no a/c, fridge, microwave, or iron in the room. Also, don't forget to bring your mosquito repellent as there are a lot of mosquitos in the area. The restaurant was just OK. We gas our paid breakfast and the tea and coffee were cold. Also, its price wasn't mentioned in the menu.

I booked a “waterfall view” room, well, there is no waterfall, only an awful view to a metal black building and some greenery on the back. They explained to me that the waterfall is now dry, so why are the selling a waterfall view? This room is an allegedly queen bed and a sofa bed, which is hard as a rock. I called to get a new room but no luck. We arrived at 6pm on the dot to the gondola and we weren’t allowed to use it as they close at 6, disappointing. I’m afraid for my back with this awful bed

We hiked, enjoyed the gondola ride to the top, the food at Mad Trappers was great and then we saw the Northern Lights from our room’s patio!

We had a very nice stay at Sunshine lodge. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We were offered a room upgrade, which was a nice surprise! The room was clean and comfortable. We had dinner on site and the food was were very good. I was also happy to see that there were others out looking for the Northern lights when I got up to look myself. Morgan, who was on staff that night, was very helpful. We took advantage of the guided tour via the chairlift in the morning and Harriet did a great job with the tour.we would definitely stay again!

Property was really upscale - clean, comfy bed, nice amenities, good food options. All the employees were helpful and easy-going. It was a joy to stay at the top of the mountain and be able to hike the many trails.

We loved the location of the hotel. Hours of your facilities were inconvenient such as hot tub, sauna and shop. Hours of operations of gondola were not relayed on time. Hotel room lacked many things. Lack of tea options, no toothbrush or paste. Just one set of shampoos for two people. Creaking bathroom door. And while your staff seemed eager to help, none of them was a seasoned hotelier.

Get ready for incredible views and mountain grandeur. First stop is the 20 minute gondola ride up to the village where the hotel and amenities are located. Can't be in a rush. Our room was an upgraded suite. Unfortunately, the shower valve needed replacement during our stay, but the assistant hotel manager was quite gracious and offered a fair compensation for inconvenience. Short ride into Banff with adventures aplenty. Hotel staff were very friendly; restaurant on site was so-so; lots of hiking opportunities. Bear in mind the 7,000 foot elevation which can be challenging. Overall, a lovely stay.
