Royal Taj Mahal Hotel

My husband and I stayed at the Taj Mahal in April 2024 and after 7 nights we were sad to leave having had a great time, so we went again 28th March 2025 and took my mother with us this time. We are English, we were never spoken to in English, only German, there were no other English tourists there, I expect a range of nationalities when on holiday, however this was a hotel for Germans, signage in hotel and shops outside all in German. I know TUI is a German company but since last year the whole atmosphere of the hotel has changed, so disappointed as we were so looking forward to revisiting this place but never again. Not the place for ANY other nationalities to stay unfortunately.

The hotel was amazing. We were a big group which called "Hatay team". We had the best of time in there. First of all, rooms are really clean, spacious and comfortable (big part of the reviews tell beds are rough but I think that was not a problem at all) Secondly, THE TEAM OF ENTERTAINMENT was absolutely unbelievably perfect. Even if it was a winter holiday they have figured out and found a way to make people cheery. And special thanks to ARDA, YAKUP, TUTKU and TOLGA. We all loved them so much, they made our experience better. If you ever get the chance to go there, definitely meet them. (For example the game Boccia, my very first advice to play) Finally, the restaurant's foods were really tasteful and various. I'm sure that you will be satisfied with all your experience.

I suggest you read the whole review here since we had an accident during our holiday. On one of the first days, my wife and son went from the yellow slide as can be seen on the advertised hotel pictures. You slide of this on a rubber band. A lifeguard at the top of the slide decides when to release you and then pushes you down the slide. In our case, he pushed my wife and son before the slide had been cleared at the bottom - there were still people on the slide. As he spinned them around when pushing them down, they were going rearwards and could not see anything coming. At the bottom, my wife hit her back on something or somebody, resulting in pain in her back, neck and arms. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance about an hour later after seeing the hotel doctor. The hospital stated the scans were clear but wanted her to stay an extra night. She declined, after which she was immediately dismissed with no medical records, proof of scans, etc. In the hotel, guest relations was being as helpful as they could be and the next day we received a fruit basket with a "get well soon" card. As a consequence, my wife was unable to take care of our baby the following days. Our other two kids were also quite shocked by the event and did not really use the slides anymore for the rest of the holidays (one of the reasons we went to this hotel). They were scared of the slides and were worried about getting injured. My wife kept having pain for the rest of the holidays. The hotel acknowledged what happened and I made a claim with both the hotel and travel operator, asking for a refund of 2 days as we felt this was what we lost during our stay. Both did not reply for 3 weeks. My last email was answered with "take whatever legal steps you want". We are very disappointed with how the hotel management dealt with this accident. Though we know accidents can happen, what defines a hotel is how they deal with them. The negligence of the life guard caused an injury which could change a person's life. Fortunately we were lucky so to say, but a small refund is the least what the hotel could do. Completely disregarding our request seems like this hotel only cares about money, and not about its guests. Besides the above, the hotel itself is very nice. There is plenty of food to choose from, and there are quite a few places where you can eat and drink. We appreciated it very much that next to the swimming pool there is a simple restaurant where you can have lunch. Same goes for the beach: your all-inclusive is also valid in the beach restaurant, providing lunch and drinks (drinks are all day long). The cocktails were tasty though the quality did differ. Every cocktail seemed to be different, even if you ordered the same. There was no consistency between the barmen. Rooms were very spacious. Bathroom was a bit dated but sufficed. Swimming pools were nice, but the pools for the really little ones were very basic. The bigger pools are 1m40 everywhere, meaning for anyth

Royal Taj Mahal is a very good hotel situated right at the seaside with a private beach. There is a sufficient number of sunbeds, we never had any problems. Room was quite spacious, with a balcony. The seating outside was a bit delapidated. Food was great in the main restaurant. The chef was very very helpful when helping me and my kids with gluten free foods. The food in at the pools wasn´t so good (kebab, hamburgers), which is ununderstandable. You can get something to eat throughout the whole day. The drinks in the bars were tasty, I would say better than other hotels in this area. The beach was sandy and shallow for about 10-15 metres, depending the time of the day. This hotel is for German tourists, so everyone spekas German. There is a shopping mall right outside the hotel.

This is our second stay in Turkey. This time with 3 famillys. Hotel very clean, comfortable, large. The room was clean, upon arrival we were given a room even though it was 10:00 a.m. and the hotel check-in time starts at 2:00 p.m. we received a room of a higher standard than we ordered. The food was very varied and delicious, the entire staff tried very hard to provide the highest level of service - waiters, bartenders and cleaning ladies. The group of animators encouraged both children and adults to have fun, greetings to Jacob :). The beach is wide, clean, the sea temperature in winter is the same as in Poland in summer :). only one smal minus- a little bit cold water in inside pool. We recommend it to everyone, especially families with children.

Amazing hotel. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. The pool areas were clean and tidy. Unfortunately the pools were really cold but it was only April. Waterslides were fun, not all were open as the hotel was quiet when we were there. There are a few shops in the hotel which is handy. There are shops across the road from the hotel with some good bargains. The selection of food in the hotel was amazing. I would definitely go back to this hotel.
