Kakkos Beach Hotel - Adults Only

We stayed here in June, but I am only just writing this review in August to give Jet 2 and the hotel time to investigate our complaint. As expected, Jet 2 have done nothing at all. To begin with, it’s important to say that there were a number of good things about this hotel. Apart from a grumpy man who ran the bar all day, the staff were good, and especially the maids, the restaurant staff and the waitresses in the bar in the evening were all excellent. The hotel is in a nice location and apart from the hullabaloo we experienced, it was fairly quiet. Unfortunately though, the negatives far outweighed this. Firstly, this hotel is not all inclusive. Some drinks are, but some are not. For example, some basic cocktails such as pina colada, Bloody Mary, gin fuzz etc were chargeable at 10 euros each. I have attached the drinks menu as proof. Secondly, it’s a long way from the airport, almost 2 hours. We were initially happy with this because we wanted a quiet hotel, but sadly the actions of the hotel changed this. After 3 days of our holiday, we asked to book the taverna that was supposedly included in our holiday (1 visit). We were told it was closed to the public on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. As we went home on Sunday, this meant that we couldn’t use it. The hotel said we could use the taverna next door, and they would pay, but only a very basic set menu, and we had to buy our own drinks. Again, not all inclusive. We wondered why the Taverna was closed to the public for 3 nights, but that evening, we found out why. We were hand delivered a letter to our room stating that the owners daughter was to have a wedding there and the celebrations were at this hotel and the sister hotel. I have attached the letter to this review. For 3 days, even though the celebration party on one evening was at their sister hotel, our hotel was inundated with guests for the wedding. People were just stood gathered in groups in the restaurant, talking and drinking and generally loud. A large part of the beach was closed for the wedding. On the Thursday and the Saturday, the taverna held parties for wedding guests. The first one went on past 3am and the wedding reception went past 430am. We were as far as we could have been from the taverna, and even with the doors closed, the noise was horrendous. People reading this review may think that this was a one off, and we were just unlucky, but I believe that the actions of the hotel showed a flagrant disregard to their customers. They knew full well that the wedding was happening, they knew it would be disruptive, they planned it, and I believe they had an obligation to inform jet2 about this so that they could inform us, and give us a choice to move hotels, which we would have done. To let us know the evening before was a disgrace. We complained to Jet2 and the hotel. The hotel front desk said “it’s out of our control” (it was your owners daughter!). I asked Jet 2 to keep our complaint

Five star hotel something Kakkos beach is not 3 star at best, Adult only pool 12 sun beds amongst 100 + guests . Staff in the bars and restaurants don’t n know how to welcome you , not a smile amongst them

My husband and I have just returned from a 7 night stay at the Kakkos Beach Hotel (Adult Only, All Inclusive Plus). Our double room with sea view overlooked the infinity pool and beach which was beautiful. The hotel and rooms were immaculately clean and the dining and bar staff were both welcoming and efficient. The food was very good with lots of choice and the food was always hot. Overview: we had a really relaxing and pleasant stay. However, there are a few things which could be improved to bring this up to a 5* rating especially given the All Inclusive Plus package, Adult Only experience and the branding of "premium and luxury": ^The mini fridge was restocked daily with one bottle of water (no beers, fruit juice, soda's etc) ^No premium drink brands were included in the bar menu (lots of cocktails were also at additional cost) ^Not luxury toiletries - small bottles of basic items were provided and replaced regularly ^No pool service for drinks ^Sunbed towel change was available at the Spa only (for people in the lower bungalows, this meant a daily hill climb in the heat and not ideal for guests with walking difficulties) ^Courtesy room was one shower, no air conditioning and no hairdryer ^If departing on a later night flight, there was nowhere to eat between the dining room closing for lunch and re-opening for dinner ^Nalu restaurant onsite is at additional cost and not included in the All Inclusive package ^Overall pricey for what is offered
