Faros Premium Beach

Have just returned from 7 nights at Faros Premium. Overall a very satisfying trip. The hotel is situated on its own private beach, at the far end of Icmeler. Our room was 133, a sea view standard. Room was spacious and air conditioning included in price. Bathroom decent size, only gripe is shower wasn’t particularly powerful. The air conditioning was excellent, the bed a king/queen size. Was massive. The balcony not the biggest, okay for 2 people but no more. I’ve seen people complain bout the air conditioning unit blowing hot air while out on balcony. Just switch it off while on balcony ! No brainer really. Towels changed every day apart from one, but not much else done in the room and the bed sheets wasn’t changed. The safe in the room is also complimentary. Our room was overlooking the stage for nightly entertainment, it’s a bit loud til bout midnight and then quite noisey from local bars. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise, a wide choice of food but was the same most days. Always easy enough getting a table, and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Taner is a funny guy. Food could be a bit lukewarm but more than eatable. The booze from the bar was of good standard. Plenty of choice of cocktails and spirits. Effes on draught. Ice cream and soft drinks/water all inclusive too. Towels are supplied every day from the spa in hotel, no need to take beach towels or room towels (obviously). The pool area is very clean and chilled, the adult pool is one depth and deep. All the staff friendly enough. The hotel is a few minutes walk from all the bars, and near harbour for boat trips and water taxi to Marmaris/Turunc. Almost forgot, there was entertainment every night, all good acts too. An enjoyable week, more plus points than minus. I’d definitely return to this hotel, which is a recommendation in itself.

This was my first visit to Turkey ( if you don’t count the day trip from Rhodes in May that prompted this holiday). Unusually for me, I didn’t read the reviews of this hotel before I booked. I’m so glad I didn’t. Yes, the balcony is small….but the views are just wonderful! The bedside phone didn’t work…oh, but the one in the bathroom did! The rooms looked like they were ready for redecorating… but they were immaculately clean! The air conditioning was quite loud ….but worked so well we needed blankets in 22degree night temperatures! The food was international cuisine, so there is always something for everyone and is excellent….but I would have loved to eat authentic Turkish food. However, the location made this easy to do with lots of local restaurants within easy (flat) walking distance. A real ‘must do’ ….in the basement of this hotel is the most wonderful Turkish spa experience from Hammam to Wellbeing massages for couples by knowledgeable, well trained professionals…we had 3 in a week! What a treat. Now onto the most important part of our visit…. The staff ….were absolutely AMAZING, from hospitality to housekeeping, the ladies that cooked the breakfast omelettes and Nina. These friendly, hardworking people are a real credit to this hotel - (ok, here goes the punctuation) …. the exception being one scary receptionist who would rather carry on with her work than deal with me when I’m right in front of her! Nina, the guest services manager gets my thumbs up and hugs ‘big style’, not only for her work in the hotel, she looks after the cats. I have never seen such well fed, well loved and neutered feral cats in any hotel in my many years of holidaying. I’m so impressed (I volunteered with Cats Protection in the past so I’m a big believer in neutering). Finally, my only 2 gripes …. WiFi connection above ground floor was extremely iffy (apparently I should have checked with Nina) We will definitely return …. When we can cope with my second gripe……the really, really long drive to the most expensive and challenging airport that is Dalaman (buy a lounge pass) Thank you for a lovely holiday xx

An excellent hotel, with direct access to its own private beach. Overall rooms are modern and spacious, some updating required. Yes, customers have commented on patch up jobs on wall paper and carpets needing replaced - as long as the rooms are clean, I don’t personally focus on little details such as these. Shower strong and powerful. Room was cleaned most days, to a reasonable standard. Towels replaced every day! The only gripe we had was that the coffee/tea in our room wasn’t replaced daily and we had to go downstairs to ask a couple of times. Food better than other hotels in Icmeler. Salads good quality, meat good quality, bottles of water provided- a real bonus. Coffee that actually tastes like coffee! Drinks - local beer and spirits but the best we have had in the last 4 years of travelling to Turkey on all inclusive packages, twice in Antalya region, last year Olu Deniz. Have travelled to Turkey yearly self catering since 1996. Staff are brilliant at this hotel. Super friendly and can’t do enough for you. The lady in the main restaurant is an asset to the hotel. Drinks delivered to our table and always asked if we want something else. Waster poured during lunch, dinner. Staff at the main bar fantastic too. Almost all would never clear your table without asking if we wanted another drink. Patisseries lovely. Beach lovely but sun bed cushions needing a good clean or replaced. We didn’t have the best view from our room - 104 - looking up we had a nice view of the mountains, but looking down, we were faced with the extractor fans from the restaurant. Balconies quite small. Would book again as we had such a peaceful relaxing week. Adults only. No misbehaved guests. Everyone friendly. The entertainment was actually decent.

Just back from our 3rd visit to the Faros Premium Hotel and yet again it didn't disappoint ! Got our lovely Seaview room again and waiting for us was a letter welcoming us back, along with fruit and a bottle of wine ...Top class service from the staff as usual, now our friends ..Necati in the dining room who always has your table ready with a smile nothing is too much trouble 1st class ! Lockman Kerim Davut and Yusef at the beach bar always remember what your drinking and are so much fun ! The pool bar waiter was very friendly can't remember his name tho..Lovely chatting with Nina too -Tony says don't forget his table football machine ha ha ! All in all we had another great holiday and can't wait to return in May '25 . Thankyou all, Carol and Tony, from Nottingham..room 235 ...

Well what can I say about this place! My daughter and I have just returned from a short 'girlie' break at Faros Beach. Everything was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is clean and bright and welcoming. We were bewildered having read several reviews before our trip which described the hotel as tired and in need of an upgrade. We didn't find this at all! Our room was spacious and clean and the view from our balcony was absolutely breathtaking. The hotel sits right on the seafront, literally just a few steps from the beach bar to the beach which has ample sunbeds and parasols. Facilities at the hotel are wonderful. There's everything you could need really. Lounges, bars, a gym, a hairdressers, little shop, tattoo parlour and even an on site doctors surgery! Downstairs there is an absolutely amazing spa. The legendary Antonio that we had read so much about came and found us on our second day and worked his charm to get us to book the Sultan package of the Turkish bath. Wow...what can I say. 2 and a half hours of absolute luxuriant bliss. Do it! You won't regret it! The all inclusive food is plentiful and varied, new dishes every day and also some standard pizza and chips type stuff for those fussy Brits! But we loved all the different dishes on offer. Drinks were lovely too and in the evening in the beach bar the staff are coming round as soon as your glass is empty to give you a refill. Fantastic service. Entertainment in the evenings was very good especially the Kenyan acro team and the Broadway night. Pool area is good too although a little chilly but still good to cool off in. Only negative here is that there were lots and lots of little midgy flies in this area. But plenty of loungers and a bar right there too complete with dartboard! Icmeler is a lovely little town with everything you would want for a chilled holiday. Abundance of eateries and drinkeries and little shops, and a stroll along the promenade is absolutely lovely. We loved everything about the holiday at Faros beach but the one stand out thing was the staff. I have never been somewhere where all the staff were so cheerful, friendly and attentive. They all look like they are having fun and will take the time to have a laugh and a chat to you. Special mention to Yusuf in the dining hall who always made us smile and of course Antonio who works all the hours god sends and who I swear could charm the birds out of the trees!! We will be back Faros beach! Keep doing what you are doing. We miss it already

Having visited Icmeler briefly last year on a day out from nearby Marmaris, we (4 friends) already knew that we liked the place... and Faros Premium Beach Hotel did not disappoint!  Okay, admittedly the hotel rooms are very tired but looking beyond that it's in a beautiful setting, ideally located so close to the beach with an onsite pool and getting a sunbed was generally easy without the usual towel wars!  Bar staff Lokman, Ali, Yusuf, Kerim & Merve were amazing!  How they manage to remember everyone's names AND preferred drinks  continually amazed us.  With the help of Murat we booked ourselves into the hotel spa and took a traditional Turkish bath at the beginning and the end of our stay...Murat was the perfect gentleman always ready with a lovely welcoming smile and always so smart and friendly.... I highly recommend the spa day experience as we were treated so well  and had the place to ourselves, not crammed in like sardines like some I've seen advertised!    The restaurant food was great with so much variety and the evening entertainment on the whole was really good...to sum up every staff member made this a lovely experience and we would go back again in a heart beat.
