Hotel Mongibello Ibiza

Hotel tranquilo . Alejado de bullicio. Ideal para recorrerte la isla y sus calas como centro de alojamiento. El bufete muy bueno, te ponen agua gratuita con el bufet. Los empleados de recepción muy atentos Nosotros cogimos dos habitaciones con vista a la playa. Tiene actividades diarias. Es un hotel prácticamente de turismo extranjero, Por lo menos cuando nos alojamos el hotel estaba lleno y éramos los únicos españoles. Se descansa fenomenal, no sé escucha ningún ruido.

This hotel is good in many ways but maintaining the theme seems more important than high quality service. The main negative for me was the fact that the 'hot' food at breakfast was not only not hot but often stone cold. I made this point in response to an email requesting feedback from the hotel on the first full day of our stay. I received an automated acknowledgement but nothing more. What is the point of asking guests for feedback while they are still in the hotel and not responding to what they say?? Only the initial few tea bags and coffee (no milk) and drinking water are complimentary, provide your own after that. On one occasion no cleaner came in all day (receptionist did apologise) and bedding was not changed at all during our 7 night stay (receptionist did apologise for that too). The very nice relaxing music played by the pool is too loud to be relaxing, especially if you are directly in front of one of the several speakers. Other than that all good.

This review is written based on the price to stay here (and therefore your expectations) and comparison to other hotels we stayed at in Ibiza. The Good The sunbeds have nice thick mattresses and there are plenty of them. The hotel is very clean and recently refurbished. The beds are big and comfortable. The location is nice and we enjoyed the walk into town. The Bad There is no space to put your suitcases anywhere in the room. The wardrobe is tiny and no drawers or surface space anywhere. There is plenty of parking but only available to people who have suites. Why? The music is loud with speakers everywhere in the hotel - there is no escape unless you want to sit in your room all day. The receptionists need training - there was no warm welcome or information on arrival for us or even how to find our room! We turned up having prepaid our 7 night stay on a booking site with our confirmation booking. After spending ages trying to find a “voucher” that they insisted on and a long queue waiting behind us, we asked to sort it out in the morning. We were then woken up later at 10pm requesting the voucher again. 😩 It was all easily resolved in the morning. There are no extras such as bathrobes, refills of water or tea etc. in your room. The Ugly The theme of the hotel is fun and different. It turns from fun to ridiculous when the hotel rams the theme down your throat at every opportunity. Don’t expect the hotel to prioritise guest comfort or enjoyment over their implementation of this theme. For example, the “library” is a few books ONLY on the Amalfi coast. We left a book for other guests and it was promptly removed. I asked the hotel to turn the music down and I was told “nobody else is complaining” and “it’s hotel policy”. Instead of providing some practical items in your room, you get a giant amalfi coast book. I read about these issues with the hotel before I booked but I wrongly presumed the management team would have rectified them. Such a shame as the hotel could be amazing. If you enjoy being treated with disdain and feeling like an extra in some sort of movie set then this could be the hotel for you.

We stayed 5 nights here in August This hotel impresses from the time you pull up outside. The fountain in the courtyard is a sight to behold and cleaned daily. Our room was beautiful, housekeeping were excellent apart from one day but the issue was resolved immediately. The pool area is beautiful with plenty of sunbeds in my opinion, pool towels are provided daily. Food and drink service is also provided at the pool, you can either pay as you go or charge to your room. I didn't have breakfast but my husband it avd said it was excellent. Rooms provide tea and coffee making facilities. Overall we were really delighted with our hotel choice and would have no hesitation staying here again.

Last minute booking and great value for money, whilst the photos are great on the Mongibelio Web site they don't tell the full story. I was expecting a slightly dated looking hotel but infact I found a modern, clean and efficient hotel with excellent facilities, friendly and efficient staff . The room was immaculate, the cleanness was of the highest standard, as was the food and overall condition of the hotel. In fact whilst the hotel appears to be of slightly older design that can be deceiving due to the perfect state of everything from paintwork, sun loungers, towels and pillows bedding and all fixtures n fittings. The breakfast selection, freshness and quality of food was immense and of a high quality, everything you might desire was available, as an example the choice of 5 different types of milk from full fat to oat milk. The hotel felt like a throw back to the 50s and 60s , wall art depicting classic 50s and 60s lifestyle of the rich,the music played at breakfast from 50s jazz to frank Sinatra , classic icons like an original jukebox , books and other memorabilia extolling this amazing time and even a beautiful old red Alfa Romeo convertible . The friendly and efficient staff amazed and my guess is that the hotel owner is a lover of the bye gone days of the 50s and early 60s, a perfectionist to detail and this hotel is more than a business , its his or hers passion and it shows to all who enter. In summary, due to the location and experience we had in this lovely part of the coast with this hotel as our base l would have no hesitation in giving it my fullest recommendation. La Dolce Vita, La Mongibeilo Hotel....

This is my favourite hotel ever ! The poolside is so chilled and never unable to get a lounger . The staff are very friendly and hardworking . The hotel is in a fantastic location . Our only issue was the bathroom had a horrible smell when the fan was on . Wasn’t pleasant . Would definitely return and already planning another visit . Thankyou
