Apartamento Ciel Azul

As we arrived, we had trouble finding the venue. The street wasn't on google maps, even the taxi driver didn't know where to go with the adress. At the reception, we were told that the nice areas with the mushrooms and tree aren't accessible, yet the pictures are shown in the add. Furthermore we learned that the playground is full of snakes! I won't let my children play in the playground when they are snakes, this is simply not acceptable!!!! The workmen at the venue were really nice and always happy to help! The airco broke down, the first time they checked, they said it was normal. Only after a couple of days they started to get it fixed, after we've made a formal compliant. The apartment itself was nice and the swimming pool area was great! But we are not at all satisfied and it was definitely not worth the money! Think twice before you book, because you pay for the whole area with its services and you can only use half of it! Services as in NL description were not provided.

The most horrible place ever! I have never had a bad place to stay!!! The rooms are completely run down and the bathroom is not good at all! The mattress was completely worn out, so that you lay in a hollow and could hardly move. The first time I saw it, I was completely stunned at how you can rent out something like this. I stayed there for a week with friends. The towels were not even renewed, there was no hairdryer and the kitchenette was barely equipped. There were four of us and there were not enough cups, no sharp knife, no big glasses and only two hot plates. There was no service of any kind. The hot water for showers was often not long enough for everyone.

I stayed with my family. The wifi connection did not reach our room, only the rooms onlooking the pool have wifi but this is not advised at booking. The tv was broken, they promised to fix but never came. The shower curtain metal rail was broken and it fell down hitting me in the head. I’m grateful it didn’t hit me or my children in the eye. I asked for a discount as no tv or wifi for one week with children was not easy. If I’d have known I wouldn’t have booked. They very reluctantly gave me €50 discount which was nothing considering our poor experience. They are not interested to please their guests.

Location is good - there are wonderful walks along the coast. Apartment is fine. Roomy enough and well equipped for cooking etc. Comfortable beds. Great shower. Two good balconies. Do not book direct however. I saw the apartments on Airbnb but emailed and asked about booking direct with CielAzul. Sabrina the administrator will tell you to pay a deposit by bank transfer, then insist when you arrive that you owe an extra 15 euros to cover her bank charges!! As she charges exactly the same rate as Airbnb, book through them to avoid this. She is very friendly and efficient during the booking process but couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge my email explaining my unhappiness about arriving and being asked for extra money. NB She will have also avoided Airbnb's charge to landlords by advising me to book direct.
