Mbano Manor Hotel Victoria Falls by Mantis

I highly recommend the Mbano Manor Hotel. This small, boutique hotel stands out from the variable quality lodges and the overcrowded hotels you otherwise find in Victoria Falls. It’s well appointed, well staffed, and wonderful. I enjoyed a blissful three nights in a king deluxe room with a bed and breakfast rate. I should have gotten full board because the lunch and dinner options were delicious and generous as well. The rooms are gorgeous and you can beat the large and luxurious bathroom. I really have no complaints about this hotel. I even loved the nightly frog serenade. The owner and hotel designer Doc Mati really put her heart into this place and it shows.

Amazing accommodations for our “Back2Africa2024 with Tamla” girls trip. Me and 15 other women friends stayed here during our trip to South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana. We had an amazing time and the staff and accommodations at Mbaro Manor played a critical role in our experience. Faith and the rest of the team at Mbaro were AMAZING. They bent over backwards to ensure that our stay eas comfortable and that we got to experience all that we desired. They had a nice welcome for us, complete with a welcome drink. They arranged special accommodations to take us market to shop and on our last day, they hosted a special private breakfast for our group, which was excellent! The food was great and the grounds were pretty, serene, and safe. The rooms were large (with twin beds placed right beside one another (we shared rooms) and there was a very nice sitting area outside each room. We had massages outside our rooms. My one and only criticism is that the massages were not good (and that sentiment was expressed by several of my friends, each of us who had different services and with different women). Based on the techniques they used (eg not appropriately shielding us when moving between different positions on the table, attempting to use the same sheet on the massage table [would not have changed it had my roommate not told her to do so] for me and my roommate), I suspect that the women doing the massages were not professionals/ trained as massage therapists. My person was also 50 minutes late to do my massage, so I could not get one of the services I wanted due to time constraints. Again, I think this indicates that the massage staff aren’t professionals. Given that this is a 5-star facility otherwise, they should really improve the massage services they offer by getting trained individuals and using best practices for massage services. Overall, I would definitely return again but would skip the massage services.

Amazing lodging with an amazing staff for an amazing group of friends! Although food service took a little long for my friend group of 16, the location, hospitality, and decor exceeded my expectations! It’s a gem of a boutique hotel owned and operated by a black woman. Mbano Manor exceeded expectations! When booking this hotel we thought it would be nice, but every experience we have had whilst staying here has been amazing. The rooms are beautiful and clean, the food was delicious and the service is above and beyond. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Vic Falls, you really don’t need to look anywhere else.

We stayed for two nights and loved our stay at the Mbano Manor Hotel. The staff was excellent, accommodating, and very friendly. They knew our entire itinerary and were prepared with transports every time. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel which was delicious and the rooms were immaculate. Highly recommend.

The hotel was simply amazing , and perfect as a base to go to all the activities around Victoria falls. We stayed there for a week and loved it and would certainly go back again , and recommend to friends I have extensively travelled around the world and stayed at so many hotels over the past 30 years and Mbano Manor was outstanding , the staff were so friendly and well trained , food was excellent , and service outstanding , they could not do enough to make our stay memorable and enjoyable. The room was well equipped , top finishes and each room is private and set within the extensive grounds If you looking for a lodge where they will look after you , and make your stay memorable , while at the same time having privacy and relaxation , then Mbano Manor is the place to go

Luxury boutique hotel. Bedroom and bathroom were absolutely stunning, very spacious and beautifully furnished. Loveky gardens and swimming pool too. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, assisting us organising dinner reservations and our helicopter trip.

This boutique villa style hotel was phenomenal. The customer service was so personal like they have known you for years. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a quiet getaway with authentic decorated rooms. Definitely will be back again.
