The owner was very rude and arrogant on the phone making me feel very stupid and unwelcome (I have 2 academic degrees and speak 5 languages. Can't be that dumb really..) This very low service and unprofessional manner put me off from booking this hotel. We are not stingy and would have spent money on food and wine. We have now booked elsewhere for triple (!) the price. Our plan was to have a spa break and relax but I really cannot see this happening with this vibe and energy this hotel is run with. Bad service really really is a killer. Such a shame.

I was about to book but spoke to the owner Manuela Baier who really put me off. Very arrogant and rude and absolutely not helpful. Such a shame. It also seems I wasn't the only one with this experience. Basic manners would have been appreciated.

very nice little hotel! good size for the room... excellent breakfast in a nice terasse for a couple of sunny days ! menu for the restaurant a bit limited for our taste, but good overall! ... close (10 km) to Rurrzee and a beautiful hiking trail!

We were there in the beginning of spring for a few days. Surroundings is nice, the forest and the small creek. Cheapskate attitude, asking extra money for basics, making mistakes with the food orders, unpleasant communication.

This is a lovely modern hotel with big rooms in a very beautiful and quiet location. The service was truly phenomenal. I don't think I've ever stayed in a large hotel where staff remembered my name, and even brought me a beer without asking as the waiter thought I would want one - and he was right ! In my work I've been fortunate enough to stay in some of the top hotels in the world and the service at this hotel surpassed all of them. The car park probably holds about 15 cars, but there is a large free public car park right next to it, and the area is very safe and quiet. The restaurant for dinner is a little pricey but the food excellent, and as I say the service is wonderful. The rooms were also really nice and decent size, and the hot bath one of the nicest I've had the pleasure to lie in, which was very welcome after a days hiking !! There is a lovely modern spa in the basement but be aware that this being Germany the sauna is fully nude :)

Wir haben im August kurzfristig für 2 Tage ein Komfortzimmer mit Frühstück für 2 Personen zum Preis von 175.- €/ Tag gebucht. Das Zimmer 305 war völlig dunkel mit total veralteten Möbeln und einem winzigen Bad. Das haben wir noch akzeptiert. aber was gar nicht zu akzeptieren war, ist der Zimmerservice. Er kam erst am Sonntag um 17:30 und hat das Bett gemacht wie ich es noch niemals gesehen habe. Der Kommentar des Rezeptionisten war nur dass er so etwas auch noch nicht gesehen hätte. Keine Entschuldigung oder ein Wort des Bedauerns. Das frisch zubereitete Rührei war aus dem Tetrapac der neben der Pfanne stand. Die Restaurantpreise völlig überteuert im Bezug zur Qualität. Wir würden das Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen.

Goed hotel maar kleine minpuntjes die de classificatie van 4* Sup naar maximum 4* terugbrengen. Enkele voorbeelden: op de kamer geen safe, papieren tissues gedurende 2 dagen niet aangevuld, je kan kiezen om de kamer niet te laten "poetsen" maar dan wordt er helemaal niets gedaan, ook het bed niet opgemaakt, dingen aangevuld enz. ze komen gewoon je kamer niet in. Geen kapstok bvb aan de deur of muur waar je een natte jas kan hangen. In restaurant bediening veel te snel bij het diner (2× voorgerecht geweigerd omdat we pas aperitief hadden). Eerste avond geen fan van nagerecht, ober stelt koffie voor ter vervanging die daarna toch op rekening staat, 1 avond verkeerde hoofdschotel voor de hele tafel. Geen deftige drankenkaart van wat allemaal in de bar te verkrijgen is . . . Wel top ontbijtbuffet en allemaal super vriendelijk personeel.

Sehr schön gelegen in schönem Eifeltal, komfortable Räumlichkeiten, exzellentes Frühstücksbuffet, tolles Abendmenu. Sehr freundliches Personal, toller Wellnessbereich mit Aussenbereich, Liegewiese. Man kann sofort loswandern. Die Chefin gibt gute Wandertipps. Hunde willkommen.
