Lemon & Soul Makadi Garden

This was just the best holiday and we are glad we stayed at Lemon and Soul Hotel. The food was fantastic and varied, the pool, bar and restaurant staff all went above and beyond to make our stay amazing, happy and filled with lots of fun. The receptionist team were also fantastic and accommodating with any queries or assistance needed. The hotel should be very proud of their team. Will definitely recommend to friends and family..

Never again! The hotel itself is fine, with a smaller but pleasant area, clean rooms, and tasty food. However, our stay was overshadowed by the extremely unpleasant behavior of a reception staff member, which completely overshadowed all the positives. Immediately upon arrival, he pressured us to pay €25 for a “better room,” which we did not request since we already had a room paid for as part of the all-inclusive package. When we refused, the receptionist literally mocked us. The level of arrogance and unprofessionalism was shocking. The worst part happened at checkout, when we faced pressure, lies, and intimidation from the same receptionist. He falsely accused us of stealing beach towels (even though we properly returned the room keys and the towel cards at checkout), refused to let us go to our transfer, called security, and demanded to search our luggage away from our presence and security cameras. We had no problem with the luggage search as we had nothing to hide, but we insisted that it be done in our presence. However, the receptionist did not like this and insisted that we were not allowed to be there. He then demanded cash from us, supposedly a “non-refundable deposit,” but without any receipt, which clearly indicates that this was a personal scam, not an official hotel procedure. Only after the transfer driver intervened and reminded the receptionist that his behavior could cause him trouble, were we finally allowed to leave. This behavior was very stressful, unprofessional, rude, and unjustly humiliating. Never again.

My wife and I stayed there for 2 weeks starting the beginning of July. Absolutely loved it. The staff, the food and the evening entertainment at their sister hotel labrada was abso amazing. They even had a night club open air called coco lounge. The pool bar staff were so friendly even the lifeguards and the towel staff. The quad bike excursions they had which we tried and also the snorkelling was amazing. Qe even went to see the pyramids in cairo. We really enjoyed our stay and as per egyptian hospitality it can't be beaten. I intend to go back there.

**Vacation in July 2025 – Terrible Experience!!!** Here’s everything in order: 1. **Room** – A standard room with old furniture and a rusty bathroom. There’s a TV, but every 2 minutes, a "No Signal" message pops up. The air conditioner is there, but if you look inside, you’ll be horrified by the dust and dirt—it’s probably never been cleaned, and you’re breathing that in! 2. **Pool** – Small but comfortable. Of course, there’s never enough space for everyone. You can take a 5-7 min bus ride to the sea (shuttle runs every 30 min). The problem? It’s a tiny shuttle for 10 people. If you don’t get a seat, you wait another hour or walk under the scorching sun. The beach has a bar and snacks, but you need special shoes because of all the rocks. Don’t bother bringing a snorkeling mask—there are no fish. 3. **Food** – Limited selection, mostly okay (though the meat is usually very tough). 4. **Entertainment** – Oh wait, there isn’t any—it’s at the neighboring hotel. By the way, this isn’t mentioned anywhere online. The animator came once a day to organize darts, take photos, and then pestered guests to leave positive reviews. If you want real entertainment, you have to go to the next hotel (drinks aren’t even included). 5. **Staff** – Very rude and unhelpful. At checkout, they don’t provide transfer info because "it’s not their job"—you have to contact your travel agency yourself. There’s no pharmacy on-site, just a doctor’s office. When I had a headache, they told me they couldn’t help and I had to find a pharmacy myself. The area is far from Hurghada—just desert and nearby hotels. The guest relations girl barely speaks English, and even then, it’s impossible to understand her. All the "good" reviews you see online? They’re just guests pressured by the animators to write them. Reality is completely different. **DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!**
