Hotel Boutique Bodegas de Arnes - Adults Only

Don't be put off by the 2 star rating, this place deserves to be much higher. Good, comfortable and well equipped bedrooms with excellent beds in true boutique style. But the highlight is the food which is quite stunning, a real joy for those who enjoy good dining with very good local wines. We stayed two nights and the owner kindly supplied us with a local sight seeing itinerary and the advice not to have too large a lunch which we strictly adhered to, the dinner that evening was extra special! The reason for visiting Graus was that it seemed to be a logical half way stop through the Pyrenees driving from Bilbao to Longuedoc, taking the ferry to avoid the nightmare of driving right through France. This was most successful and we shall do it again, stopping at the Bodegas will be obligatory.

Delightful small hotel in the countryside with attentive service, delicious food, beautiful surroundings and an excellent staff. We were delighted with breakfast and dinner. The staff will do anything to make your visit more pleasant. Very relaxing very clean and a wonderful experience. I would definitely return. Initially, we were staying at another hotel in Graus, but it was not anywhere near as nice as this one, and we were very happy that we moved.

A real hidden gem and a wonderful retreat. This former Bodegas has been lovingly restored by the current owners, Reiner & Arncle who are the perfect hosts and clearly passionate about their business and home. They have future plans to create a swimming pool in the grounds and outdoor restaurant. The hotel is tucked away up a rural lane but only a short distance from the town and enjoys a commanding position overlooking the valley. There are only four letting rooms and ours, Calla was a comfortable and spacious room that has been beautiful furnished with individual flair, views over the countryside and a sumptuous shower room. This is the perfect hotel for the gastronomic, as the food is lovingly prepared by Arncle, who is an exceptional chef and a master of his craft. The dishes use local organic produce some from the family farm. Our dinner was absolutely delicious and by far one of the best meals we have ever enjoyed, even compared to the many Michelin star restaurants we have eaten at. The wine cellar compliments the food and Reiner is happy to recommend the perfect pairing. Breakfast was of a similar high standard with an excellent selection that will certainly set you up for the day. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we felt privileged to share your beautiful home.

What a fabulous find this place was. After having to cancel twice due to covid we finally got to the Spanish Pyrenees on our motorbikes in June and this was our lovely home for 4 nights after an overnighter en route from the ferryport at Santander. We were greeted by Angel and Reiner like long lost friends, and immediately given a huge glass of cold water as we were wilting in the 40 degree heat having ridden our motorbikes all day. Room - we had the suite which was a fabulous size, with an ante-room that had loads of space for our bike gear with a sofa, table, storage trunk & fridge with mini freezer compartment for our ice packs. The bedroom was a good size with extremely effective aircon for which we were most grateful. There were apologies for the small bathroom but to be honest it was absolutely fine and no smaller than most budget hotels, but it was stunningly decorated and supplied with lots of nice touches. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable - we have a firm superking at home and often struggle if hotel beds are too small or soft but this was perfect. I am not a good sleeper but I had some great sleeps! Dining - we had booked half board and were really wowed by Angel's cooking and the service from Reiner. The food was stunningly presented and up there with the best meals I've ever had. Their delicious house red wine is from a local vineyard and has their beautiful blue mansion pictured on the label. Access - easy access a few minutes from the small centre of Graus, plenty of parking and it felt safe for the motorbikes. Fuel stops and supermarkets nearby for easy filling up with petrol & water etc. All in all one of the best places we've stayed. Our only regret was we weren't able to ride to and wander around the beautiful small villages in the area as it was just too hot. A highlight was our 300 mile day over into the French Pyrenees to do 5 of the big Tour de France Cols including Tourmalet and Aubisque. Highly recommended for both bikers and non-bikers.

No es un hotel romántico, no es un entorno de descanso, paz y tranquilidad, no es un espacio natural, agradable y limpio, no es EL LUGAR donde debes alojarte cuando viajas a Pirineos, es MUCHO MÁS que eso y lo es gracias a sus anfitriones, Ángel y Reiner, que abren las puertas de su casa, estupenda casa, para agasajar a sus invitados en todos los sentidos. Mención aparte merecen las cuidadas y originales elaboraciones que salen de la cocina y del corazón de Ángel (qué merluza tan rica por Dios) y del exquisito servicio de Reiner. Una dupla perfecta que trabaja por y para los viajeros sedientos y cansados de cuerpo y espíritu; en las bodegas de Arnés se restablecen sobradamente. Muchas gracias por hacer nuestra estancia tan feliz como agradable. Prometemos volver para ver los avances de vuestra casa azul. Un abrazo de unos ciudadrealeños.

Hay dos tipos de almohadas a cual mejor. El colchón una delicia. Todo súper limpio, y muy bonito. La atención de los propietarios excepcional, con recomendaciones de las visitas por hacer. Sin dudar voy a repetir, las veces que pueda, en este lugar mágico.
