We loved our accommodation but the details on Tripadvisor are incorrect so you must know what you are booking. This is a small concrete block with five rooms, one of which has a small plunge pool. It is not what I would call a hotel. There is a reception desk manned by a nice lady who speaks some English but no one there after 8pm. The entrance and stairs are dark and gloomy but open onto lovely rooms. Breakfast is served on the top floor overlooking the little roof top pool but there is no restaurant or bar, nor is there a kitchenette for guest use. Photos showing a lush garden with a pool must be disregarded because this is at a private house and wasn’t available to us. So, why did we rate this as 5/5? Quite simply the room, balcony and bathroom, with dressing room, were large and well appointed. It’s a felt like our own condominium in a residential area with a view of the sea. The small staff were friendly and helpful even to the point of arranging for us to have some breakfast when we had an early departure. The location was fine for us but maybe a bit far from the busy tourist streets in the town for some. There’s a seafood restaurant overlooking the sea just 5 minutes walk, supermarket and other bars and restaurants about 12 minutes away and it’s a taxi ride to the night market. There were no taxis nearby so we used Grab, often having to wait a while before someone would pick us up. The area is very safe, a security guard sits outside minding the big house with the swimming pool, but the pavements are broken up as elsewhere and there are trip hazards aplenty. While it was lovely to have a sea view, we hadn’t appreciated that Hua Hin just has a narrow strip of sand and due to high seas there was no access to the beach from the end of the road. We spent three nights there which were relaxing and that was quite long enough in Hua Hin.
