Future Found Sanctuary in Hout Bay by Newmark

Our last stop of our 3.5 week tour of the Western Cape was 2 nights in a room in the Villa Verte section of the hotel. It actually has 3 separate parts with the recent introduction of the 2 pod rooms in the forest (of which will try next time). Huge room in Villa Verte with a good sized balcony overlooking the forest below. Plenty of facilities on hand in the room with a great sized bathroom to boot. But this place is not about the room its about the whole experience and how it makes you feel that your watch is going bcakwards! Pool at the Villa Verte and pool at Maison Noir take you pick! Breakfast at either location if you want. Cup of coffee? just ask one of the butlers who will happily provide (Thanks Keith) Staying in for dinner than just let them know and they will offer you a menu choice and we did that at the communal table in Maison Noir. Glass of bubbly? Keith or Prosper will oblige. Great gym and the first one I have ever used on holiday. Steam room? Of course you can. Massage? Yep got that as well. How about a movie? Well you can book the cinema room and order fresh popcorn with your glass of fizz. What a place ! Big shout out to Andrew the manager for his friendly engaging chat and all the tips he gave us for our next trip (we are definitley doing the Karoo mate). 2 nights felt like a week and we dined out at La Colombe on the 2nd night. Definitley a haven to return to in 2026!

A flawless stay. The attentive, generous service was a standout part of the experience. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms spacious and comfortable and the chefs catered to every dietary need. I could not recommend more highly. My only regret is not staying longer!

I can barely begin to describe how wonderful this place is - and selfishly part of me is hesitant to write a review because I want to keep it a secret and be able to always go back! Put it this way - my husband and I could quite literally feel our blood pressure drop upon stepping foot into Future Found. We were able to completely relax during our stay - started every day off with a cold plunge in the natural pool, followed by amazing breakfast with fresh fruits and vegetables grown on the property, followed by treatments in the spa that blew our mind, workouts in the gym, hikes on the property, pool time, naps, and wonderful dinner with new friends. It sounds hyperbolic, but this place is perfection. We could not have asked for more in an experience or a stay. Prince, our property butler/concierge, went above and beyond for us, as did the entire staff. Thank you to the founders, the staff, and everyone who makes this place the incredibly special and unique place that it is (I also very much appreciated that there was not any plastic on site!!).

This is the first hotel I have walked in and just said Wow. It feels more like a home . The staff are amazing the atmosphere is very zen .Normally I'm in a rush to explore the area but this hotel is a place you just want to relax and take in the amazing surroundings It's like being in someone's luxury house. The superb food is cooked in the open planned kitchen in front of you and you eat with the few other people staying in your area. My wife has a number of dietary problems but they did everything they could, to prepare her delicious food. The bed was by far the most comfortable of our trip in SA.

Exceptional reception and friendly staff. I was given a warm welcome and didn't wait long to receive my accommodation and upon arriving at my stay, I was welcomed with good clean facilities. Thank you for the amazing experience. I would definitely recommend this stay to my friends, family and colleagues.

What an incredible place and stay! We stayed here for two nights on our honeymoon, and we were blown away. Really one of the most beautiful and tranquil places we've ever stayed. It feels like staying in the most gorgeously designed mansion, and the staff were wonderful and personal. We were lucky to get upgraded to an even more amazing room than we booked, and it was such a treat. We had a lovely dinner on the property, and we also had amazing massages in the spa - highly recommend both. We are so appreciative of the staff for this special experience, and we only wish we could have stayed longer!
