My recent stay at the Four Seasons Hampshire offered a blend of luxury and countryside charm. The estate's picturesque setting provided a serene backdrop, and my room was both spacious and tastefully decorated, combining modern comfort with traditional elegance. the dining experiences were somewhat mixed. Breakfast was consistently good, with the chef accommodating our requests and providing a variety of satisfying options to start the day. Dinner at Wild Carrot stood out as the culinary highlight, featuring well-crafted dishes with fresh, high-quality ingredients that made for an excellent evening meal. Afternoon tea was enjoyable as well, offering a pleasant selection of teas and treats, though it didn't stand out as exceptional. However, the Italian restaurant was a disappointment. The ambiance felt off, with cheap tables and harsh, bright lighting that detracted from the dining experience. It lacked the cozy, upscale feel expected at a resort of this caliber, making the meal less enjoyable. Although horseback riding was fully booked, limiting my activities, I enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. The estate could benefit from offering buggies for guests to navigate the grounds more comfortably. Another point of note was the inconsistency in how discretionary fees were communicated at check-out. While one receptionist made them seem mandatory for me, my friend shared that she was given the choice to opt out. However, the true highlight of my visit was Simon and his birds. The falconry experience was unforgettable and added a unique, enriching touch to the stay. It showcased the resort's dedication to offering distinctive and memorable activities that go beyond dining and standard amenities.
