Horsefeathers Hotel

We stayed at the Horsefeathers Hotel for our wedding this past week and it was the PERFECT place to stay! It sits in the middle of the town so you have excellent views, easy to walk anywhere and it made everything easier for us. The hosts were so attentive, sweet and made sure everything was stocked up and to our liking. The place itself was spotless, comfortable and more than spacious. We are 100% coming back next summer to stay here again. We cannot recommend it enough!

Very highly recommend! We just had a wonderful stay at Horsefeathers. The property is beautifully restored, stylishly decorated, and filled with lots of thoughtful touches to make it a comfortable stay. Immaculate, too. Kitchen, bathroom and laundry had everything we needed. We were in unit 301 on the top floor, which has two great outdoor spaces and an amazing view of the town and river. (Because it’s built into a hill and parking is on the same level as the top floor, there was no stair-climbing required to get to the unit with your luggage.) Great location, a block from the heart of downtown. Communication with the owner was great, instructions were very clear and helpful. I have nothing but positive things to say.

Beautiful boutique hotel right in downtown. I've stayed there several times for work in the different rooms and furnishings are super and suites are easy to access. Each suite has been warm and inviting and fully stocked with kitchenware. Great location being one block away from restaurants and shopping on Oak Street. Owners are very accommodating for my needs. The available WiFi is 1G and very reliable which is critical for me to use for work. Adjacent community park and historic stairway connecting the community are unique features and add to the ambience of the location.

Incredible location, walking distance to downtown and so many breweries / wineries. Very comfortable bed, heated bathroom floor was a huge perk, and we rented the unit with the balcony (the Lookout) and loved the fire pit and gorgeous views of the Gorge. Chris and Laura were very helpful and responsive. The place is extremely clean and is exactly as it looks in the photos online. Would highly recommend staying!!

I am specifically reviewing room 202 in this very well appointed "hotel", which is really more like a building containing several apartments (no reception office or anything like that). Our room was very well appointed and everything in it appeared to be "new". The King bed was especially comfortable. That being said, it was nowhere near worth the nearly $440 we paid for a single night there ($80-90 of which was tacked on fees). Room 202 is tucked into the back of the building and basically a daylight basement room. There is a galley-like kitchen, with a tall dining table and 4 stools. The bedroom has no door and the kitchen wall between it and the bedroom is open at the top so sound travels throughout the space, so even the slightest noise from even the bathroom (if ya know what I mean) is clearly heard throughout the small apartment. We were also disappointed to find that the TV was not functioning properly - it had a message on it saying it required an update and the only way to do the update was with the TV remote which was nowhere to be found (only the Roku remote was provided). This was very frustrating after a long day of travel and wanting to relax watching a movie...we ended up using our laptop. Like I said, this is a very nice building/apartment and the location is excellent, but after staying in 3 other places prior to this on a road trip through SE WA and NE OR, all of which were nearly half the price Horsefeathers and we enjoyed them more, it was a real disappointment.

Beautifully finished smart apartment style hotel. Currently more AirBnB feel than hotel it was nonetheless a relaxing stay. The recent renovation is high end, and furnishings smart and comfortable. We stayed in 202. Host was friendly and helpful, easily contactable on the one occasion we needed to do so. Centrally located in Hood River - walkable to the main area of Oak St, and if you want to stretch your legs rather than drive, you can also get down the the waterfront area. Recommend Pfeirm Brewery for eats but avoid Celilo Restaurant.
