New Cottage

When you combine a beautiful house with stunning grounds, then add the most delightful host and his lovely wife and daughter, the result is New Cottage! We enjoyed wonderful breakfasts with ingredients sourced locally and slept in the peace of a tranquil environment, the ideal walking distance from Honfleur town.

Our stay was amazing with great service and hospitality from Eric. Breakfast was the best in France over the 10 day stay.

Returning to a “favorite place” is one of those pleasant reminders of why we occasionally travel to the same place again and again. Finding a new favorite place, however, reminds us of why we travel. We have been to Honfleur before, but only for the day. Honfleur is relatively small, but beautiful and friendly, and has more than enough to keep you interested for more than a day. We decided to spend more time in Honfleur and that is how we found New Cottage. The innkeepers at New Cottage are great. They are the type of innkeepers who know they may never see you again, but they treat you like you are returning next week. The accommodations were spacious, have great views towards the sea and gardens, and were perfect for several days. New Cottage is very close to the center of the village and is a brief drive, should you decide not to walk. Our hosts prepared and served a great breakfast, took a genuine interest in our day, and made sure our dinner plans were made early. They obtained a reservation for us at Auberge de la Source, which was a 15 minute drive from New Cottage. Go there. It is in the middle of nowhere. The food was excellent, the wine list was very nice, and we were served by a very professional staff. What else could you ask for in the middle of nowhere? We also went to L’Escale in Honfleur. The seafood was amazing, the wine list was very good, and the staff was very friendly. Go there as well. When we return to Honfleur, we will look no further for a place to stay than New Cottage, which is now a new “favorite place.”

An absolutely beautiful house in a great location 10 minutes from the centre of town and 10 minutes to the beach. Managed by a lovely couple who cannot do enough for you to make your stay very special. The breakfast is not to be missed and seems to go on forever. Cannot recommend this highly enough - you will not be disappointed

I am remiss in writing this since we stayed here a while back, but I keep thinking about how wonderful it was and wanted to share that! We. booked two rooms here in June. It turned out to be our favorite lodging of an 8 week trip in France. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. The breakfasts were delicious - so many options, each better than the last. T1he grounds are well tended and relaxing. Ingrid was an amazing host. She was accomodating and helpful with wonderful suggestions about places to eat and see in town. The property is a short walk from town. Close enough to get to everything easily, far enough to avoid the busyness of Honfleur in summer. And we loved the chickens! Don't hesitate - stay here!

Voor het eerst naar Frankrijk geweest. We waren benieuwd hoe dat zou bevallen. We kunnen alleen maar zeggen WOW!! De ontvangst van Eric was zeer hartelijk. We voelden ons gelijk op ons gemak. De cottage kon zou zo uit een sprookjesboek komen. Zo mooi en verzorgd. De kamer was ook helemaal top. Uitzicht op zee. 10 min. lopen naar Honfleur en 5 min. naar het strand. ideaal. Parkeren gratis op afgesloten terrein. We kregen gelijk suggesties voor het eten. Eric heeft voor ons een paar leuke restaurantjes geregeld. Top!. Het ontbijt was meer dan voortreffelijk. Kortom we gaan hier zeker weer naartoe. Nogmaals dank aan de lieve gastheer en gastvrouw. Eric en Angelique Barrois

New Cottage overtrof onze verwachting. Het ligt in een rustige bosrijke straat en heeft zelf ook een prachtige tuin. De Normandische stijl villa met rieten dak is ook een lust voor het oog. We werden zeer hartelijk ontvangen door de gastheer Eric en hij nam de moeite om ons alles goed uit te leggen, uitgebreide ontbijt mogelijkheden te bespreken en gaf ons goede tips voor een restaurant in Honfleur. In deze prachtige omgeving wandel je zo naar Honfleur. Deze B&B is ons zeer goed bevallen. We zullen er vast weer terugkeren.

Très bel endroit. Proche du centre ville d Honfleur. Jolie déco dans ce beau cottage. Très bon petit déjeuner. Chambre confortable. Literie parfaite. Tout est accessible à pied. Les massages en supplément sont incroyables. Nous recommandons vivement.

Cercando un hotel per tre notti a Honfleur mi sono imbattuto in questa struttura. Ero titubante perché solitamente prediligo gli hotel classici. Questa è infatti una struttura con pochissime camere (credo 5) gestita dai proprietari che ci vivono. Ebbene una sorpresa incredibile. Le stanze, noi avevamo la mansarda, appena fatte e con tutto quello che può essere necessario ed anche di più. La colazione incredibile. All’arrivo vi chiedono cosa volete a colazione e l’indomani lo prepareranno. Vi è il parcheggio interno, un bel giardino e una vasca idromassaggi esterna. I proprietari faranno di tutto per farvi sentire a casa e coccolare. La struttura è fuori dal frenetico caos del centro dove si arriva a piedi in nemmeno 10 minuti. Provatelo ne vale la pena!!
