B&B le Fond de la Cour

Le Fond de La Cour was a great place to stay with its fascinating history and friendly, helpful hosts. We enjoyed talking with them about the building’s history and renovation process. Our room and bath was very comfortable and the breakfast they served was delicious and varied. It even included the offer of hot made to order eggs. As the owners were originally from Scotland, their English is excellent. And because they have been in France for 20 years, the same is true for their French. The location was in a quiet area but was close to the center and easy walking to the charming harbor area of Honfleur. The hosts assisted with a list of restaurant suggestions to improve the visit. We definitely recommend this lodging.

We traveled here as an extended family (Wisconsin, Indiana, Bavaria) in April, 2023, for three nights. A wonderful experience and highly recommended. Amanda and Craig provided the service with son Ben fulfilling the role of frontman. An idyllic setting, Grandpa (yours truly) and Grandma shared a two-room- two-level suite with granddaughters (9 & 12); our other family couples lodged in two additional rooms. Location was ideal to a short walk to the center of town. Breakfast, service and cordiality exemplary! There is no on-site parking, but street parking is a short walk. Luggage and passengers are also easily dropped off. Our visit was in cooler temps. The grounds would be ideal in warmer weather. Nevertheless, our experience was sensational!

Lovely hotel with a great family room for the five of us. Ben and family helped us with everything from parking to restaurant recommendations. Great breakfast. Honfleur is lovely and you are just a short stroll from all of the restaurants. We will come again.

The property is charming and Benjamin and his family provided a warm welcome and helpful advice. A quiet street. The breakfast was delicious. Easy but steep downhill walk to the harbor and lots of food/drink/shopping options. Free parking on a nearby street was available on Sunday. The day before, we parked farther away and walked, which wasn't ideal but wasn't awful. The premium quad room was perfect for us and our adult daughter; it would have been lovely for a family with young kids too.

I suppose we should have guessed by the empty wine bottles left out and the staff who wore a “kiss my ashirt” when we first arrived. After having a really wonderful night here, we realized there was no soap. We were told to call if we need anything, so at 10:35 pm when we all needed to shower, the intoxicated owner came with a used bottle of body wash and told us to “f***k off”. Ruined our night and we are leaving first thing in the morning. Do not stay here.

Wonderful location a short 5min walk into the very heart of Honfleur. Amanda & Craig are great hosts. Our rooms were very comfortable and we were made to feel very welcome. Breakfast was perfect overlooking their garden. We would heartily recommend a stay here.
