The Hotel Redland

The hotel was beautifully renovated and very clean and comfortable, and the price cannot be beat. I chose it for its access to both Biscayne and Everglades National Park, and it was about 15 minutes from the former and 20 from the entrance to the latter. The check-in was a little confusing, but access to the building is smooth and through two doors— both of which have outdoor stairs, so be advised of that. Each room has its own air conditioner and ours was clean, spacious, and included its own fridge and microwave. There is a designated parking lot, which was very convenient. The hotel is historic and has a very interesting sign outside. The downstairs bistro had great martinis as promised, and we walked to both of our dinner spots which were both also delicious! Highly, HIGHLY recommend this place! We would highly recommend

We had stayed at this hotel a few years ago and it had been a pleasant experience-see my previous review.However things had changed-a new owner had taken over. -We arrived at the hotel for a two day stay it was completely locked.I had missed an e-mail sent the day before telling me that access was via a lockbox with keys inside. -There was no reception desk.Infact we could not find anyone in the building.To all intents and purposes we were the only people in the building. -No telephone in the room -While there was a coffee pot and two paper cups in the room there was no coffee,milk or sugar.We bumped into the one housekeeping lady a few hours later and were told we would have to buy our own as this was not a "full service hotel" -We were encouraged to climb an outside fire escape to access the building as all the bedrooms were on the second floor and a Bistro with a separate owner had the first floor. -A cleaning fee was added prior to our arrival.I have never seen this added as a normal charge in a hotel before.This hotel was being run like an Airbnb.If I had wanted an Airbnb I would have booked one -Overall very disappointed. -Finishing on a positive note.Christina the one housekeeping lady kept the rooms and beds very clean and the mattress while old was comfortable

Friendly staff, I liked the ease of check in(there is no front desk for the hotel), bed was comfortable.. we stayed for 4 nights and didn’t see any house keeping so we ran out of towels quickly. Prices were reasonable, the room was very clean. There is a TV with a fire stick but you have to use your own Netflix or streaming passwords to login. There’s a clean mini fridge and freezer with a microwave, and the shower was very clean as well. All in all I would stay here again. My only recommendation is that the check in emails are a little more clear. I didn’t know that my room was inside the actual restaurant and not upstairs with all the other rooms…. so we had to ask someone in the restaurant and she had to call housekeeping to help us. While we were outside another couple was arriving and had the same exact issue we had with help finding their room and keys.

The room was clean, big enough, confortable twins bed. The staff was kind and undestanding :) The parking is OK I recommend this place The location is good to go the the south everglades. You have plenty restaurants/fastfood nearby to eat/ a bar at the hotel Thank for the experience

The renovations of this hotel were beautifully done. The new rooms are so nice, beds and decor are great. Not to mention the how great the food is at the new City Hall Bistro Bar. Overall the new owners did an amazing job with the property as a whole.

Stayed at Hotel Redland 2 nights, March 18 & 19, 2023, in room 211. This is not a fully functioning hotel/restaurant/bar as presented on their website. No check-in counter, restaurant and bar were closed. Check-in was with an email received earlier in the day advising that I look in a little box on an outside wall to find a key to get in. Room with comfortable king bed was clean. However, several things need attention and fixes. Bathroom sink faucet sprays out beyond sink and ceiling extraction fan does not work. Slider door to common upper floor patio area doesn't lock! Broom handle in track prevents intruder access but still allows door to open 6 to 8 inches from the outside patio. Coffee maker & filters in the room but no coffee, cups, or glasses! No tv remote, no cable or local channels, only Amazon fire tv remote that would not turn the tv on. Great potential for this hotel, but would have been better to stay in one of the chain hotels in Homestead for about the same price. Don't recommend this place.

Two nights here, thought it would be okay given the 4.0 Tripadvisor rating. I'd give it a 2.5 rather than 3.0 if I could, not quite average. Kind of odd experience. The downstairs (restaurant, etc.) was closed, there was no staff on site, outside door and room key pickup is via a lockbox they emailed us the code for. We didn't understand it would be a situation like this before we got there. The room was below average. Bed was somewhat uncomfortable and the room was humid. Bathroom was "eh" perhaps not dirty but didn't seem clean either; toilet seat was loose. Room had few amenities, not enough towels, no shower floor towel, no blinds on the windows (curtains barely covered windows, allowed a lot of light around them), no lights over mirror, no sink stopper and no kleenex. The room had an overpowering deodorizing smell. Finally, the air conditioning light was way too bright, lit up the room at night. We usually don't give reviews like this, but in this case..., wouldn't stay there again.

What an amazing place , very clean and the staff is very friendly ! Cute rooms and in downtown Homestead close to the Seminole theater and Showbiz movies. You will be very happy with your stay ! The restaurant in the hotel has live music and ailerons amazing food.
