Hausjarvi Homestay

A dryland log cabin in a quiet forested area, renovated in 2021. The cabin is located only 40 minutes drive from Lahti and Hämeenlinna. On the middle floor, living room/kitchen, bedroom with double bed, living room has heat reserving fireplace. On the upper floor, double bed and single bed. On the ground floor, washroom with WC, wood-heated sauna, living area. In the courtyard a separate sauna building (wood-burning sauna stove). Sauna can be used by prior reservation during May-September. Note for people with disabilities! The toilet is located on the lowest floor, which can be reached by stairs. Here you can enjoy the tranquility and closeness to nature. Extensive forest areas offer good opportunities for hiking, picking berries and mushrooms. Hämeenlinna 54 km, Lahti 43 km, Helsinki 90 km.

90 km north of Helsinki, River Puujoki 20 m, deep mud/clay bottom, partly sanded, own boat. Log cottage 1993, living room/kitchen, living room convertible sofa/bed for 2 persons, bedroom double bed, bedroom 2 beds, sauna with wood-burning stove, washroom with shower, dressing room, open terrace, gas grill. Peaceful cottage at field edge alongside river. Light, grassed yard area. Badminton field on the yard and canoe available. Distance to Lake Ansionjärvi 700 m along river (lake length 1.3 km, width 600 m) and to lake Mommilanjärvi (length 5 km, width 700 m) 1.5 km. Meals can be booked from catering services. Small game hunting by arrangement (note: licences required). Messilä ski resort 45 km, golf course 35 km, airport 80 km Lahti´s skiing center 42 km.
