Condo Details: **This is a NON-Smoking Unit AND a non-smoking property. All forms of smoking or vaping is prohibited in the units, lanais as well as common areas including the parking lot. ****This is a PET free unit. **Our beautiful ocean view unit is situated in upper Wailea Ekahi Village. It is a 952 square foot unit on the second floor with one bedroom and two full bathrooms. It comfortably sleeps 4 guests. We are not equipped to host children younger than school aged. (5 years old and older please.) Two in the bedroom and two on the memory foam sofa sleeper. It is conveniently located near one of the quiet pools. Our double lanai has a beautiful spot for outdoor dining and enjoying the sunset in one of our two chaise lounges.Our unit is situated near two grilling stations. One is just off our parking lot, and the other is just outside of the quiet pool near our unit. They have been recently updated. (2025) We also have an indoor / outdoor griddle as another option for our guests.Ekahi now has a Fitness Center! 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily. Located just inside the pavilion, for guests over the age of 18. The large master suite has an updated master bedroom furniture with a Sterns and Foster Rockwell California king sized mattress. It is perfect for side, back and stomach sleepers. It is from their plush line, and it is SUPER comfortable! The bedroom also has dresser space, and a library. There is an adjoining dressing room and an updated bathroom with a glass block step-in shower. The second bathroom has a step-in shower as well (No tub).Our location in the complex is ideal for those who love to golf, shop, walk, and enjoy the beach. For those who want to have some tee time, the following golf courses are nearby: Wailea Gold, Wailea Blue, and Wailea Emerald. For shoppers, our unit is within an easy 15- minute walk from our unit to the Shops at Wailea. This outdoor mall has a bit of everything from casual dining to gourmet restaurants. It also has an ABC Store as well as a specialty grocery store. For our walkers and beach lovers, it is a quick 7-minute walk down a beautiful greenbelt to Keawakapu Beach and Wailea's beachfront boardwalk. On the beach, you can enjoy snorkeling, boogie boarding and sun worshiping.Our cleaning care professionals have been trained to properly follow all CDC, VRHP (Vacation Rental Housekeeping Professionals) and VRMA (Vacation Rental Management Association) guidelines and protocols. Their employees have been trained on proper cleaning techniques, including how to properly sanitize and disinfect various surfaces and the safe and proper usage of chemicals. In addition, all linens and towels are washed at high temperatures and an extra-long cycle to ensure that it has been sanitized properly. We will also have some cleaning items available for your use while in our unit.There is a 5-night minimum stay in our unit during the winter months. There is a 3-day minimum stay during all other times of the year. 5% Discount for stays longer than 7 nights. 10% discount for stays longer than 28 days. The cleaning fee is $255 plus tax. All 98 condominiums have identical floor plans; many have been recently remodeled; and some are closer to the ocean or on higher floors than others. Why do we love ours?Generally, condos that are on higher floors can accommodate higher rental rates. We are slightly contrarian to this view. While you would want a top floor penthouse if you were staying in downtown Manhattan, we believe that higher up only makes you further from the sounds of the waves and the view down the beach. Being on the third floor is just right. We also have unobstructed ocean views in our back bedroom where many other units look into the stairwells or the elevator shafts.As you can see from the pictures, we completely remodeled our condo when we bought it, and have made many additional improvements over the years, most recently in the Fall of 2022. Deanne is a designer in California, and her choice of colors, art and furnishings are unique and beautiful.We live here part of the year so it is more than a rental property to us. We buy the kind of things you would put in your house: high quality dishes and silverware, pots and pans and kitchen utensils. Very important, our complex Kihei Kai Nani, is HOTEL ZONED, and not affected by Maui's ongoing Transient accommodations issues. Ours is a one-bedroom condo, on the top (2nd) floor, next to our corner unit #212 of building #3, The unit has a full kitchen and amenities. Our Lanai is a good size with ocean and beach views and there is a nice table and chairs on the lanai where we eat most meals. We have recently fully renovated our condo (down to the studs in every room) which means it is brand new. It is furnished with high-end appliances and furniture etc. Our bathroom is completely tiled with a very spacious shower, and all new towels etc. Kamaole beach II is directly in front of us, about 100 yds from the door. The pool and laundry room are about 100 ft. away at the pool. Restaurants and shops are 1/2 a block away. Our complex, Kihei Kai Nani, was one of the first two Kihei resorts built in the seventies. They could have chosen any of the beaches for miles around, but they chose Kamaole II, what more to say? Actually I should comment on our decision to not install a dishwasher, washer and dryer, We have been visiting our first condo in Kihei Kai Nani for about 35 years now, and have never felt the need for such appliances. Two people can surely wash dishes in a large double sink, and a washer and dryer take up a lot of space, and are very expensive to operate with Maui electricity costs. They give off heat, they are noisy, and they can leak and need repairs. When the laundry room is steps away, beside the pool where you often meet other vacationers, it is a no brainer. In our opinion, A/C in Hawaii is generally not necessary,, but we have installed quality units for those, that desire it, I have owned my 1st condo in Kihei Kai Nani for 35 years and have never lost a guest due to not having the appliances aforementioned.
