Love the food is great

I stayed post cruise and wanted to be within walking distance to a few shops. This was an unsafe feeling, dark and depressing hotel with surly and unfriendly staff. The hallway felt like entering an old school or hospital- almost institutional like and once in the room - didn’t improve. The room darkening shade didn’t cover the entire window, so didn’t help for sleeping past sunrise. The hanging space for clothes is literally pegs on the wall, and the pillows were like fluff. Although I had a queen double room and eight pillows, it was like having maybe one pillow because they were so worthless. I heard banging and yelling off and on throughout the night and someone pulled at the handle to my room. I travel with a room lock and door wedge so they weren’t getting in but still super concerning. This was a total 180 from the North cruise port Hampton Inn, which is awesome. For the same money, that’s where you should go and not here.

As a long time Hilton Honors Member I could not be more disappointed in Hilton as a company, and the security level at this hotel. We paid to park our vehicle at the hotel for a week while we went on vacation and when we returned it was stolen. The hotel policy was to park around back so we did, the hotel policy was to put a placard on the dashboard that listed our departure and return dates, the hotel policy is to log in all your information at the counter, and the most egregious of all is that the video showed our vehicle was there two days before our return at 7 AM, and then sunglare glazed out the video camera until dusk which gave the thief 10 hours to steal our the vehicle. We were told exactly where to park and we did, seems like someone saw the window placard with our return timeline, knew when the video camera would not see them stealing the vehicle, and knew how all of the hotel processes worked! We asked if any of the hotel employees were questioned, we did not receive an answer. When we asked the hotel chain to help us out in making up the difference between what the insurance covered to replace our vehicle, and what the cost was to rent a vehicle to get home, they simply said no. If you stay here, beware that security is terrible.

The general manager never responded to my complaint that someone tried to break into my room. The front desk clerk, Joseph, a shuttle driver, and his buddy the dispatcher—were all less than professional, and I do not recommend this hotel. I have been a Hilton Honors member for years, and this is a shady property, unlike most others.

Great reception staff, rooms big, bed was comfy and in a great location for food and shopping. The bathroom was spacious, clean and hot water. Staff were friendly and pleasant. Also accomodating as we had a late flight and we were able to store our luggage until we left in shuttle.

Although I didn’t particularly enjoy my stay here (the hotel is in dire need of refurbishment and the price is exorbitant for what you’re getting), I need to give a special shoutout to the staff, mainly General Manager Joseph, for their utmost kindness and choice to do the right thing. Too often do I have to be firm and persuade hotels to follow Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) law regarding reimbursement for taxi fares incurred because of inaccessible airport shuttles, but not here—even though their shuttle doesn’t have a lift or ramp, they still ensured I had a free ride after my flight. They gave me back the money I paid for the taxi promptly and with grace. Location wise, this Hampton is central to the airport, as well as dozens of great restaurants and shops across Stirling Rd. Proximity to the Tri-Rail is noteworthy too. I would stay here again if the price was lower and renovations are made to the rooms and common areas. Thank you to Joseph and the team! This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at which cost 377.00 per night! It was dirty, old dirty carpet, needed paint, no employees around! I suggest no one ever stay here!!! What a waste of money! I can’t believe there are no standards for Hampton inn hotels! Why would the Hiltons even want there name associated with this caliber of hotel???

Unfortunately, housekeeping is almost nonexistent. As a lifetime Hilton Diamond member, I expect my room to be serviced on a daily basis. I asked the front desk to have my room cleaned each day and my room was not serviced. Front desk didn't care. Not a Hilton Lifetime Diamond experience!

Just checked into this Hampton Inn and it is an absolute dump! Carpet is dirty and worn out. Lobby area looks like the kind of place where rooms are rented by the hour. Hard to believe that this is a Hilton property. If you are looking for a hotel near the airport, I’d skip this one. Several other choices nearby.

The owners seem to be happy with this hotel being a 2-3 star hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but the condition of the hotel lacks attention. Rooms need a deep cleaning, and you can tell that rooms aren’t cleaned well after each guest leaves. Repairs are done on the cheap, instead of making quality repairs. Breakfast was okay. It was convenient to the airport and cruise terminal. The hotel was okay in a pinch, next time I’ll book a better hotel more in advance and will try not to stay here, there are better hotels in the area for about the same cost.

My husband and I stayed here 1 night before our cruise. I would have given this hotel an okay rating until I forgot to pack my IPhone charger and when I called the front desk 5 hours later to inquire about it, I was told housekeeping didn’t find my charger. I bet housekeeping found its tip we left though. I believe Hampton Inn has a guaranty policy that says if you are not satisfied you don’t pay. Well, I was not satisfied at all that my charger wasn’t found. I feel management should have done something more to make this right for me. I won’t be staying at another Hampton Inn again because of this incident.

Been coming here many yers now to spend a few days before taking our cruise, location is perfect lots to do around, plenty of restaurants and stores, this Hampton Inn is our favourite Hotel in the area, great job on the refurbishments, rooms are very nice, very clean and staff are friendly. Breakfast are always perfect and love the chocolate chip cookies after 6 pm. Will be coming back sometime by the fall for another cruise and will be staying here again. Thank you Hampton Inn again for a pleasant stay. 🇨🇦
