Mis Sueños Holbox

We weren’t too happy with our stay at Mis Suenos. It looks like a beautiful hotel. However, the rooms were not clean at all. There was sand laying all over the floor. I had 2 dead insects laying on my nightstand, the bedsheets had a weird smell, and when we turned on the A/C some weird dirt started flying out on our bed.. Furthermore the hotel is VERY noisy.. it wakes you up. Also the curtains are so sheer that even at night the room isn’t fully dark, and in the morning you will wake up by the light immediatly. The wifi connection is very bad too. I would not go back.

Lovely small boutique hotel. Basic but very clean rooms with safe and mini fridge. Hot water showers and a beautiful small pool that was perfect to cool off in the afternoons. Reina, the manager, is incredibly kind and works very hard to ensure you enjoy your stay. She not only checks in with you regularly, she cooks, cleans the rooms, and provides recommendations and insight to the island. We had to catch the 630am ferry for our departure, and she very kindly made us sandwiches for the morning of our flight. Also noteworthy was the poolside surprise of banana bread she said she made for the 1st time! Such a sweet touch and delicious as well! Basic breakfast and coffee were included in the stay with a handful of options, all very good. Bicycles are available to rent and Reina can arrange carts and tours if needed. Also, shout out to Pepe and the other gentleman that assisted Reina, we unfortunately didn't catch his name. They were both fantastic as well. The only cons that may be an issue for other people, it is pretty long walk to town center and beach, 20 minutes or so (we enjoyed how quiet the location was, and enjoy walking so didn't bother us at all) I can see how this would be difficult when it rains as flooding is very common. For early risers, coffee and breakfast are typically available after 8 am, sometimes later, depending on how full the hotel is. Overall, we would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Muy bonito el hotel, la relación precio-lugar está muy bueno, se pasa. La habitación cómoda, la cama muy rica. Cuenta con A/C, televisor y baño. Nos incluyeron desayuno y estaba muy rico. La atención de Reyna superó las expectativas, muy amable ella.

Fue mi primera vez en Holbox y todo estuvo excelente tal como lo pensamos,llegando al hotel después de hacer el tour en lancha fue grato llegar a pasar un rato en la alberca y con las cervecitas q estaban en el refri con los cacahuates fue el perfecto snack,el hotel queda a sólo 4 4 cuadras de la llegada del ferri,la ubicación fue perfecta para descansar agusto ya q esta apartado del ruido de los bares del centro,realmente solo una vez agarramos taxi no había necesidad caminar 10 o 15 min para llegar a los restaurantes y playas esta perfecto.. La chica recepcionista muy amable igual q el mucho que atiende en las mañanas. El desayuno fue perfecto para empezar el día los hot cakes ricos y esponjocitos, la habitación muy cómoda y agradable con aire acondicionado y canales de tv por ña noches llegamos a ver una película. Definitivamente nos quedamos con ganas de volver a regresar a mis sueños Holbox..

El lugar es limpio y seguro. Sin embargo el costo por noche por la suite esta sobrevalorado, colchones durisimos. Mencionan que incluye un desayuno y lei comentarios que era wow! Pues no lo es, así que mejor busca un lugar donde desayunes rico. Por el precio de casi 200 dlls por noche(ya con impuestos)seguro encuentras algo mejor!

Toen wij aankwamen werden wij enorm vriendelijk onthaald door de dame aan de receptie (top!). Echter, voor ons werd het een ware nachtmerrie… het hotel lijkt een prachtig plaatje (mooi zwembad, idyllisch, hangmatten, fijne muziek,…) maar het hotel is aan het uitbreiden. De hele dag (tot ongeveer 19u ‘s avonds) werd er geboord, gehamerd en gezaagd boven onze kamer. Wij konden elkaar amper verstaan terwijl we spraken. Een namiddagje zwembad was onmogelijk… zó luid.., bovendien is de weg naar het hotel vreselijk (zand, modder,…) na een regenbui. Ik raad je aan een taxi te nemen en niet zelf te sleuren met je bagage. De afstand naar het strand is echt ver… zeker doordat je soms een omweg moet nemen (water, modder en niet te vergeten de warme temperatuur) maken het erg lastig. Wij zijn uiteindelijk een dag vroeger vertrokken omdat de rust voor ons echt ver te zoeken was. Het hotel erkende het probleem maar wilden niet compenseren… wij vinden het jammer…
