We were at the hotel at the end of October 2023. The area where you find the hotel is quite convenient if you want to go to the city center, and the neighborhood is interesting with several good restaurants. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast that was prepared for us was very good. In terms of cleanliness, I had no complaints with the only exception that the first few days the room had a bad smell, probably due to the excessive humidity in the city, but from the moment I mentioned it to the staff, they solved it immediately.

5* for staff who were delightful but I’m afraid the hotel itself was a disappointment. We booked and paid for a room with a balcony as listed in our booking description on *********** but did not get a balcony despite sending this message directly to the hotel. ‘The most important thing for us is the view from the balcony so we would really appreciate a room on as high floor as is possible. With thanks.’ We did see some rooms did have small balconies with chairs on but our request and booking stating the room had a balcony was not honoured. If the information on the booking sites they are using is not accurate or guaranteed they need to update their information. The room was also supposed to have a kettle but there was none so I had to sit on the floor to boil water in a microwave on a very low shelf. No bedside lamps and the shower room flooded as the drains need unblocking in the bathroom. The room and bathroom were however clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was a big disappointment. I even ordered meatballs one day (even though I didn’t want them) as I was told it would come with a crusty fresh roll but yet again it came with horrible processed white sliced. At least they had fruit and over sweet yoghurt but we bought breakfast out. The breakfast menu you have to pre order from is very confusing. You only get one drink, juice or coffee and you have to pay if you want another. So strange, much cheaper hotels we stayed in offered endless drinks in breakfast and a much wider unlimited selection of food at breakfast.
