The hotel is in a Great location,staff couldn't be more helpful,room cleaned every day. I stayed 7 nights so wouldn't have minded every few days.

From the organisation with Leah to the wedding with Sammie and her staff it was absolutely amazing! For me and my husband it was effortless,the wedgewood suite was perfect for us .lots of reassurance when I was stressing , amazing food , all our guests were happy and catered for , nothing was too much trouble , rooms cozy and comfortable it was perfect in every way … highly recommended from us !! Definitely didnt get a room like the photos indicated. The room (16) was dated, chipped furniture, dirty net curtains and long curtains that were hard to close as the bed was right up against them. The shower looked unclean with horrible curtain that had seen better days. The sink taps moved when used and the lino looked dated with blobs of paint splattered on them. No one appeared on reception only to hand me the key when l arrived. I had 2 nights of no sleep as it was very noisy at the front of the hotel and the next room!! The hotel has not responded to my email either... l would never visit this hotel again. A complete waste of money.

We stayed here for 1 night for a function in town; the room was were given (no9) was nothing like any of the photos on the internet; was such a let down especially as it cost £90. First off we walked in and were met by an awful smell; mixture of stale cigarettes and moth balls; we complained to reception and were fobbed off and just told “sorry there’s no other rooms available”, she didn’t even take the time to come and check out the room or offer any food will. The room was extremely tired and dated; visible damage to walls and carpets, bathroom door didn’t fully close, furniture balanced by bits of cardboard, over head shower didn’t work; and the little shower head had such little pressure it wasn’t worth using; plus the toilet seat moved so when you sat down you went flying. When we left, the same receptionist was on and didn’t even ask how are stay was as she clearly knew.

We got married at the Castle Hotel on the 16th August 2024, we had an amazing day, all the staff, that helped and was envolved with our special day, made it as perfect as it could be, there were friendly, helpful, and they all went one step further in playing with the kids, to also keep them entertained. We couldn't of asked for a better day. Thank you to you all Michael and Kimberley Bridge

A big Thankyou to the staff at the castle hotel who came to our rescue after a planned break was ruined by an unsuitable hotel package booked elsewhere. This hotel is amazing, the room was so relaxing with good quality furnishings and especially pillows which enabled a fantastic nights sleep. The restaurant is also very good with quality food and restaurant staff very attentive and friendly. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay an experience to remember. We will definitely return. We got married here the 2nd August. We couldn't fault our wedding planners Sammi & Lydia they were absolutely amazing from the minute we arrived. Waiting on staff and the 2 lovely chef ladies who did our breakfast & meal were again fantastic. Our day had a few hiccups but down to communication not being handed over to them. Wouldn't recommend their Dj though as hardly any songs we wanted didn't get played & he couldn't read the room of what people wanted to listen to.

Had my vow renewal here on 26th July, and was just amazed with the efforts everyone went to. We got Married here 12 years ago but didnt have the best experience but for our vow renewal we wanted to be in the same place so thought we would re try. From meeting with leah she was so accommodating and friendly. Communication was effortless and she was very attentive. On the way of the renewal we met sammi, and all i can say is Wow! She is an actual amazing person who just goes above and beyond. She make sure throughout the day that everything went perfect. She even went as fat as to make sure our room was special for me, the hubby and who ever else wanted to join us😂😂. From start to finish we had the best day of our lives and will be truly thankful forever. Thank you to you all

We had our wedding here on the 29th June, the team did a great job at dressing the venue, We had a few hiccups during the day but they were quicky resolved by the amazing team! I can't thank our hosts enough for how amazing they made our day! We stayed in the honeymoon suite on the night and the team set it up amazing for us, we had a great night's sleep and enjoyed our breakfast in the morning 😊 Thank you for everything, Mr and Mrs Percival 💓
