Brook Marston Farm Hotel

It was very close to where we had to go for an event that went very late, so that worked well. We were able to get a family room (3) and the area around the hotel was beautiful. Sadly, we REALLY didn't like having the fire alarm go off at 5:55am due to someone boiling their kettle under a sensor (which is what we were told) and then again at 8am on a Sunday. We had been to a party the night before and were exhausted. I appreciate that our safety is important to the hotel, but the hotel did not offer any good will gesture on their part for this inconvenience.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Nicola and her team at Brook Marston Farm Hotel. We had the best day! Nicola made sure our day run so smoothly, food was lovely, DJ was amazing and the hotel grounds are just so pretty! The process from start to finish was made so easy. It was the best day of our lives and we can’t thank you enough! Love Mr & Mrs Addison x

When you arrive at a hotel in the middle of an electrical storm and the national grid has failed and there is no electricity, it is then when a hotel makes an impression not what the decor is like or the softness of a bed …. Throughout our stay the hotel and their staff did everything they could. Some hotels would have closed up and took the weekend off. Not here, they remained open and worked with the the electricity company and remained in contact throughout the experience. The rooms are spacious and clean. The decor is subjective and up to your own opinion however I like a country feel and for me there’s no problem …. Great stay given the circumstances and there were absolutely no pile ups

Used a Groupon voucher nice girls afternoon tea, the building and grounds are lovely, but unfortunately when we got there no one on reception, very quiet no one around, when we finally found the restaurant only 1 member of staff who seated us, took our order, sandwiches very underwhelming, shop bought cakes (asda) not for us. Not impressed, no other customers....

Walked into the reception, no receptionist just an A4 piece of paper with a mobile phone number saying ring for attention there was a hand set on the counter but that didn’t work with no mobile signal inside I had to call from the car park not the best of greetings. We were given our room key number 23 and directed towards a staircase at the side of the bar. The corridors were dark , narrow with a damp fusty odour. Opening the room door was like opening a window to the 1940s/50s and it looked like the room had not been decorated since that period. The wallpaper was peeling there was open cracks in the wall and ceiling, the bathroom again looked like it had not been painted since the 50s the shelf had flaking paint the toilet roll holder was broken and rusting the plug for the washing basin had a hole in it?. We were woken by the fire alarm sounding at 05:45 we evacuated our room and made our way to the assembly point what a farce people were just milling around there was not a member of staff in sight to take a roll call it was evident that not all guests had evacuated the hotel after 15 minutes we were told it was a false alarm probably due to someone smoking in their room the alarm went off again at 08:35 again no one evacuated the hotel. On the plus side the bar staff and waiting staff were spot on Unfortunately this hotel failed to impress we will be giving this a very wide berth in the future.

Not great. Afternoon tea booked. The room looked like a storage room for chairs. Very poor and not a great setting for an Afternoon tea. 4 finger sandwich very poor. Cakes dry and hard and scone very small. Compared to other ones out there I wouldn't recommend.

We had our wedding day last Sunday and it was from start to finish a beautiful day. Unfortunately we woke up with no electricity in our block of rooms but the issue was quickly resolved and the staff were fantastic setting us up a room to get ready in. Nicola the wedding coordinator has been fantastic from start to finish making us feel at home and nothing is to much trouble. The rooms were lovely, clean and beds very comfortable. The wedding food and operation was brilliant considering we had so many people to cater for. We hired the resident dj who again was fantastic!!!! A perfect day in a stunning venue. Only a few hic ups were the electricity and there weren't enough staff on at breakfast as we all waited a long time for coffees and food but once arrived it was lovely. But this will always be a place we love and will return as the wedding was perfect xxxx Thankyou to the team at brook marston farm hotel xx

Stayed here for my friends wedding. The wedding itself was beautiful so this is no reflection on the event, just on the venue. Room - tired, basic, dated and dirty. Rust around shower and sink, felt very grubby using the facilities. Old fashioned furniture with odd pieces that didn't match. Carpet old and shabby. Food - basic for a wedding breakfast, it looked like it had been dumped on the plate with no care given to presentation. Chocolate brownie was inedible as it was like a lump of concrete, obviously not homemade. Breakfast- the biggest shambles I have ever encountered. Waited 40 minutes for a cooked breakfast that was inedible, swimming in grease and consisted of mass brought catering food. Absolutely no flavour in any of the produce used. No glasses for juice and had to wait for 20 minutes just to get a cup of coffee. Would never consider returning!!!!

We stayed for a wedding the night before and the evening of the wedding. The night before we couldn't sleep until after 1 as the noise was terrible from the party that was already on. The rooms were freezing cold and then we woke up to no electricity not good when your expected to get a bride and 6 bridesmaids ready we were crammed in to a tiny room and had to shower in the pitch black. The power was out in all of our rooms until after 5pm meaning my children who had arrived also had to get ready wirh no power. The wedding planner nikki was amazing and pulled the stops out to help us through the day however my kids didn't even have a key to their room and for £125 got in the room at 12am to sleep after the ignorant staff told me they had given me a key and not to be a nightmare the breakfast was like a cattle hearding contest no glasses for drinks no tea coffee and had to wait due to lack of staff. Nikki was amazing and thank god she was there to try and help out. Not birth the £225 I paid for 2 nights and if I hadn't have paid at check in I would not have paid for the rooms no refund offered for having no electric and no room key to use the facilities disgusting customer service from one member of staff and won't hold my breath for any kind of response.
