Gooiland Hotel

Everything was great, a wonderful place with lots of plants. A perfect place to continue exploring the Netherlands...

Very nice and clean room great bed and pillows and wonderful nights sleep. Staff was very hospitable and went out of their way to be helpful. Especially enjoyed talking with Valentin. All staff was great from cleaning to front desk. I loved that they have live plants in the rooms and in the lobby. Really adds to the experience of staying here. Location is very good and easy to get anywhere from here. Appreciate their bike rental service too!

Good location and near to station. room is very big and spacious and friendly staff except lot of asylums are living in hotel.

The reservation we made was for a comfort room.We got a free upgrade to stay in the family room. Which was a beautiful and unexpected surprise. We have to thank your crewmember,Lucas for this.A very good crewmember;friendly and with a very good sense for service! Apart from that,we got a warm welcome by your Oekrain-Portugese crewmember. Thank you all!

When I was walking towards the hotel, I could tell the security guard was chatting with another person at the entrance. This guard was only looking at me and not even acknowledging me with a smile or greeting. This is outrageous and so unwelcoming. I would really address this with your entrance-guard, this is absolutely unacceptable. I was walking towards the hotel with a suitcase, there was no excuse that he scanned me like a criminal but not even greeted me with a nod/smile. When I was checking in, the lady at the reception was fine. Later in the afternoon I found out that this hotel is supporting asylum seekers and refugees, which I think is a noble cause, but it did come as a surprise. I believe acknowledging this during the check-in would have been a good courtesy. Good stuff: The location of the hotel is great - it's right in the middle in the city centre, close to the shopping area with some food options directly next to the hotel and also close to the supermarket. The rooms are neat, with a good working Nespresso machine, and a mini fridge, which are big bonus for me. The girls at the reception (Madelief) is great, so would like to mention her. The breakfast was extremely modest, but what can you expect for 9,50? I would not remove the breakfast facility, but maybe see if there is a way to make it a more fair range. Altogether, it wasn't too bad, but there are definitely some pointers that can be reviewed.

The hotel is very nice and stylish as it is an architectural monument of Jan Duiker built in 1936. Our family room was spacious and nicely refurbished in black, white and red. The breakfast was okay and the staff was very helpful and kind. It is close to the railwaystation of Hilversum. We had a very good stay.

The experience was worth 5 stars. The staff at the reception was very helpfull. We receiveved a drink to welcome us. The suite was beautiful with a large bathroom. Overall a very good luxurious feeling.
