Holiday Inn Express & Suites Louisville South-Hillview

Nice stay, reservation changed w/out notification Kelsey was so nice and pleasant checking us in. I had reservations for two queen beds. Upon arrival to the room it was only one king bed. When I went back to the front desk to ask about the mix up, Kelsey had to call the GM. The GM had apparently changed our room to one king but I was not notified and they had no other queen rooms available. They called surrounding properties and found nothing else. Kelsey handled it very well and apologized for not being made aware ahead of time. They did offer a discount for the inconvenience, so I am waiting on that. Otherwise, it was a nice stay. Bailey at check out was very nice and the complimentary breakfast was very good as well as the staff.

I was arriving late the night of my reservation. The staff was very kind on making sure my reservation was secure, and they were friendly on check-in and checkout

The only complaint that I have regarding the room was the lack of towel hooks to put your used towels. Also, it wouldn't hurt to have slightly bigger trash can in the room.

I always thought Holiday Inns were nicer, but for the price of this hotel I could get a cheaper one that is better. I was honestly surprised on how small the room was. It was not cleaned very well. Especially around the microwave and the coffee maker looked like it had not ever been cleaned. The was a blood splat in the tub which was kinda gross. The pool was extremely small so my kids didnt even want to swim, which was why we chose this hotel in the first place. We almost just asked for a refund and found something else but figured they wouldnt give it to us anyways. They dont let you use the extra side doors at night to get into the hotel and the parking lot filled up quick at night, so we had to park all the way in the back and walk around to the front door. The sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable at least. They also provide a really good breakfast.

Loud highway It was difficult to sleep from the loud nearby highway and from people passing in the hallway. The door was poorly fit and let in light and noises from the hallway. The room had no soundproofing from the highway.

Do not recommend Check-in was terrible. Waited at the front desk for 15 minutes while employee (super tan, wore a necklace that said Emily) ignored us with her headphones in. When she finally came to the desk, she had open wounds on her face that she was wiping with the back of her hands while she was preparing our rook keys, it was pretty disgusting. Our room, King Suite, was just ok, definitely old. The only positive was that the bed was comfortable. There are better hotel options in the area.
