South Mimms/Potters Bar

The rooms are ok, the bed comfortable. Avoid the breakfast at all costs, V.POOR. The staff were as cold as the breakfast, no smiling welcome when you arrive, no good morning when you went for breakfast, even though you say good morning to them.

Self check in didn’t work, so had to wait for a member of staff to become available as they were working in the bar/restaurant. I would expect reception to be covered at all times to deal with any queries. We only had one set of towels in our room, and couldn’t find anyone to ask for another set. This has actually put me off staying in another premier inn!

We stayed for one night as we couldn’t get booked in to our usual premier in in till the following day but in all honestly it was actually much better for service, staff and value. Fantastic value for money and brilliant staff. Diana went out of her way to make sure we were happy with everything. Would definitely stay again.

Sometimes life sends you a curve ball, and due to work this was one of the positive ones. Checkin was smooth and easy. The room is nice and quiet. The staff in the reception, bar and restaurant were polite and looked after me very well. Food portions at breakfast and dinner were good, and the quality of the food was excellent. If you are in the area and need a hotel, I would definitely recommend this one.

The overall look of hotel was clean well presented. Availability of bar and restaurant was good and clean. Service was very good and friendly staff. The room was clean and availability of additional tea and milk was excellent. Parking was plentiful and cheap for 2 days.

If you need WiFi this is a hotel I will never go back to. Reception desk tried to help and supplied a free upgrade for 3 x devices and a code. I only found 2 x places where the wifi worked but for only a few seconds, that was in the bar (where it was too cold to sit) and the wifi kept dropping out after about 10 second and half way along a corridor. For personal family matters it was important to have good or any wifi. NOT GOOD ENOUGH!! The food selection was good, the steak was tough as old boots and the pie made my wife sick. And if you like lettuce with brown edges and limp, have a salad.
