Insula Alba Resort & Spa (Adults Only)

I always find a negative in most hotels I stay at, but not this hotel. Excellent 2 week stay from start to finish. Food was delicious and the staff (all staff) are excellent. Special mentions to Manos, Eleni and Nikos who all go above and beyond to ensure you have the best stay. We stayed in room 1009 (swim up) which was excellent. Comfy bed and mini bar replenished daily if all inclusive. Bottle of wine and raki in the room on arrival and a personal letter thanking us for choosing to celebrate our anniversary at their hotel. It is very rare I return to the same hotel but would not hesitate in returning to Insula Alba. Totally faultless!

If I could rate this hotel 6 stars I would. I have been to many Tui hotels of the same rating and this one has something special! Manos and Kostas at the pool bar are PHENOMENAL and both truly make the holiday - I really really hope they are here next year for my 30th! They create a wonderful atmosphere - wonderful bar drinks, always filling everyone with laughs! The staff are beyond friendly and could do not more for you - I have never experienced such care and passion for jobs. The hotel and facilities are incredibly clean and the rooms are amazing! Mira my room maid was so lovely and wonderful too!

Spa Treatment was excellent with Snizhane as the therapist. The deep tissue massage was excellent and would recommend to anyone to anyone visiting. Snizhane was professional and attentive and made the experience relaxing. Overall the hotel itself was brilliant and would recommend. We had a private pool room that got afternoon sun (from around 12-6pm) and this was perfect

We returned a week ago from an all inclusive stay in a junior suite and this was our second year visiting. We were pleasantly surprised to see the drinks menu had expanded. Last year many of the premium cocktails like espresso martinis weren't included, so this was really great to see. I have to say that the food quality did seem to have dropped compared to last year. Different fishes served on different days tasted exactly the same and was so dry and overcooked. Most pastas were watery and bland (exception was the tortellini, which were always delicious). Im sure last year on the evening of the gala dinner there was a fresh station of food made to order, and it was delicious, but this year the gala dinner evening was pretty much the same as every evening. There was an Asian theme night which was a bit odd. We came to Greece for Greek foods. The culinarium by the pool is another place to get food. Last year they had a gyros which was so delicious we could have eaten it every day, but this year its been scaled back a bit to a panini which was still nice, but we were so sad the original gyros wasn't an option. The staff really make this place. Maria made me a lovely iced latte every morning in the restaurant. All day we'd be looked after by the pool by Manos, who's a real credit to the hotel. The ladies in the culinarium too are fantastic. There's one we recognised from last year (sorry i've forgotten her name!), and she was super lovely and helpful. We didn't use the spa this year as the treatments are very expensive, but last year we splashed and it was wonderful. The rooms are very clean and the mini fridge is well stocked. I was surprised by a cake delivered on my birthday too! One thing that is a shame is the no reserving sunbeds rule isnt enforced. Last year it wasn't an issue at all. This year for the first few days there was a couple of groups I noticed that were very selfish. I'm an early riser and would head out to read sometime around 7.30/7.45. For the first few days almost all the beds with parasols would have been reserved by then, and most of these people wouldn't show up until at least 10. One day it was as late as 11.30. The second half of our holiday these people had left so it wasn't as bad. I know on other comments the hotel has responded saying there's signs asking guests not to reserve beds but signs do no good if not enforced. All in all, despite a bit of a decline in food, still a fantastic place and I suspect we'll be back again next year.

My wife and I have just returned from a two week stay at the TUI Insula Alba. We were both highly impressed by the staff, all of whom were helpful and efficient. The standard of cleanliness in the hotel is outstanding. Our room, a junior suite was very good with plenty of space and just about everything we needed. The pool bar, manned by the tremendous Manos, his staff, including the mighty atom Vicky, was great. The piano bar, manned mostly by Panos was nice and relaxing. The TUI staff, including the charming Jasmine and the very fit Charlie were good. Sun beds, for us at least, were not the problem some people have made them out to be. It was unfortunate that some people with the private pools reserved beds in the main area because they would not get the sun in the afternoon and it was good to see one morning that hotel towels were removed from empty beds at 9am. Regrettably I have to disagree with some reviewers when they say that the food was great. We found the food to be bland, repetitive and occasionally cold. Believe me, you will never starve but perhaps I am blessed with a wife who is a very good and inventive cook! The service in the main restaurant was excellent and we were very well looked after by Yanis. Overall we had a very good holiday and enjoyed our time at the Insula Alba. Had the standard of food been better we would be pleased to consider returning, as it is I am afraid that we would not.

Just returned from an 8 night stay and had the most incredible holiday! Lovely spacious room, comfy bed and great shower. We had a swim up room which had the sun all day, (room 1507) so relaxing and peaceful. The pool is deep but we bought some floats from the local shop. I was worried about the lack of umbrellas in the swim up area but there is an island in the middle with plenty, we also bought our own umbrella from the local shop and had the perfect set up! Food was varied and tasty, especially the breakfast! The desserts are WOW! Pool bar area is great fun with amazing cocktails! It’s a very peaceful hotel with low key entertainment, musicians, bingo, DJ set. Every member of staff is fantastic, so smiley and friendly, always! Lots of shops and restaurants nearby with an amazing view of the ocean. We saw the most amazing sunsets each night too! Loved it and would 100% return! We also bought the VIP lounge for the return trip which you can sort via the TUI app or through a rep at the hotel. Completely worth the money to get straight through security, to a lovely air conditioned lounge with lots of food and drink.
