The Noverian Scenic Crete 5 Star Hilltop Villa Resort & Spa

Dirty, poor equipped rooms that they don’t cleaned up daily, bad information, most of the personal are rude and unpleasant (few exceptions), no working telefon lines, old and damaged furniture. The breakfast is a disaster. There is no buffet just a poor and bad cooked menu. You can for example order bread but not cheese. You have to wait a lot for your order. Noisy due to parties and weddings. No shuttle. No service att all after 18:00 so you cannot find to buy any food, beverage or aven water. You can maybe find some water if you find someone at the reception. This in definitely not a five star hotel!

The worst experience at this hotel! 1. The food is not diverse. (the chef doesn't know how to cook anything, and for dinner you have a maximum of 2 dishes. MANY TIMES THEY HAVE NOTHING LEFT TO EAT AND THEY KEEP YOU AT THE TABLE FOR AN HOUR + THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY ON THE TABLE) 2. The rooms are dirty, especially the bathrooms 3. No one cleans your rooms 4. There is no water in the rooms 5. They have problems with electricity (the water doesn't work, the lights don't work, the sockets don't work) 6. Insufficient staff 7. Unqualified staff The hotel is a dump, I don't recommend it, they take your money, but you don't get services, food, cleaning, etc.

Stayed as a family of 4 for 9 days in mid August 2025, 2 adults and 2 children. Positives: Remote hill top location in Old Town Malia - 10/10 (might be a negative for others but that was what we wanted). Villas with private 10m to 15m length pools (10/10). Overall the teams were very helpful and did their best to support. Amazing unobstructed views of Malia from your balcony from the hill top location (10/10). Notable mentions; Alexia at the front desk, New lady in the restaurant from Romania, Male supervisor / manager who helped us after we got locked out of the villa with 2 keys at night. Saw someone check the chemical level in the private pool once so this was quite reassuring. Met the new owner at dinner whilst the teams were stressfully trying to work out our bill for a new menu and he said he his aware of what they need to improve on and service is not were he wants it to be, it is always better to know your development areas. Negatives: Attention to detail I.e. 1 bed was missing its top layer for the first 3 nights (we were politely told that it was a weekend and the person in charge was away!). Very easy to lock yourself out of the villa because of the safety feature on the doors. Service in the restaurant needs to be improved as being remote, families are happy to stay onsite and dine in but unfortunately this is a missed opportunity from the hotel I.e. Catering options are very limited and the menu cards needs to be reviewed so it’s easier to read and understand what you are ordering and paying for. We stayed in the second to the last villa (Margarita 407) and had noise and disturbances from what we believe was coming from the staff accommodation between 1am & 3am on 3 separate nights, the noises were of adults arguing and maybe fighting - my family were quite worried but we hoped if it got any worse the local police would surely intervene!! No locks on the bathroom or toilet doors so be prepared for anyone in your group to accidentally walk in.. Hot water in the tap & shower is extremely boiling hot and can easily scold your skin (need to have a sign to alert all especially children). Toilet / Shower room on the lower floor in the 2 bedroom villas should have a solid divider as water gets everywhere and makes the space quite unusable after a shower.

We stayed at this lovely 5-star hotel with my family and booked two villas with private pools. The location was perfect – up on a hill with amazing sea views. We hired a car and visited many places nearby with ease. The à la carte restaurant had great food, and the staff were fantastic. Ola at reception was incredibly helpful, Paris in the restaurant was very friendly, and even the manager took time to chat with us and was very supportive. We all enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. We hope to come back again!

What can I say about this place? Just came back from a memorable week in Seehund 1. From the very first Moment we felt like home. Warm and cozy, immaculously clean, nicely decorated, sufficiently and very well equipped, just 80-100m away from the Baltic sea, suitable for both couples and families.... The house offers unique tranquility and an escape from every day routine and reality, which you abundantly receive. I could continue but I do not want to speak long. We absolutely and without a second thought recommend this place. ❤️

the hotel has opened recently for a week in winter time (November 2024) due to a conference and we enjoyed our stay there. The view is panoramic and the Hotel is very quiet. Has a panoramic a la carte restaurant, Gym, Spa, a very big relaxable full renovated pool. staff is very friendly and food is realy Cretan organic food
