Gasthof - Hotel Zur Post

Check their website ( it's also in English ), it's capable of catering for various occasions/parties/business groups etc etc. They have a morning/lunch menu and one for the evening. We were there for lunch & dinner on three occasions during a four day visit to Herrsching/Ammersee, it's a good walk up from the lake but it's worth it. The menu is full of traditional southern German/Bayerisch dishes, in other words " tasty & mouth watering " and filling & reasonably priced. One thing you must try is a dessert called ' Kaiserschmarrn ' with apple sauce, it tastes even better with vanilla sauce and or vanilla ice - it's very filling but delicious! They have a biergarten with many large trees across from the hotel. It's worth the visit either for lunch and or dinner Finding a parking space can be a bit tricky near to the hotel.
