Croft Mill

Honestly I wasn’t sure what to expect. I read the reviews and looked at the photos and thought it would do for one night. We pulled up and parked in our allocated spot in the carpark. Got the key. All the information I had been sent was easy to follow. We were on the 3rd floor so we took our bags up. The balcony’s had amazing views. I opened the door and was very pleasantly surprised. It was a home from home. Spacious, spotlessly clean, and every amenity you could think of. Our breakfast pack was presented in a wicker basket and perishables in the fridge. It was just lovely and we both had a feeling of peace as soon as we walked in. The beds were so clean and comfy and it was so quiet. The weather was quite mild so we decided to sit on the balcony chatting, the evening just flew by. We met some of the other guests who were lovely and we also met Josephine who joined us for a chat. What a lovely lady. She used to work there, but now just lives there. It was great to hear about the history of the place and how it has evolved. The next day we went out,and realised we were not far from everything and went and had a look round the shops and Market. We visited half the shops, bought lots of cheese. Had coffee and the most delicious ice cream ever. We really wanted to stay another night, but as usual our lives got in the way. So we will be back and hopefully soon. Thank you to our hosts Hayley and Tina, for making our break to Hebden Bridge so comfortable. This is definitely the perfect place to stay.

Can't find fault with Croft Mill Apartments - with someone on hand either in person or via phone, the previous reviews must have been unforseen circumstances with it being listed building. The personal touch with the hamper and decorated apartment added to how we all felt from arrival to departure. Perfect location to leave car parked from the minute you get there to the minute you leave and if you just want a relaxed time without travelling then Hebden Bridge would be your happy place and Croft Mill your ideal base.

Extremely unreliable booking service due to their free cancellation policy. They overbook their rooms, expecting a certain amount of late cancellations, which is of course an unpredictable amount, and then have to cancel bookings when overbooked. I booked the apartment two months ago and already paid for it ahead of the deadline to do so more than a week ago, yet they still chose to cancel my booking with only two days before. As there cancellation policy for these dates already ended last week, why did it take them till now to cancel? Why pick my booking over others who probably booked and paid later than I did? Because my booking was done so far in advance it was at a lower price than others I expect. Shockingly poor service, they could have informed us of this LAST WEEK which is when they would have known what there confirmed bookings were. All Hebden Bridge is now sold out for this weekend and had to cancel the whole trip.
