Hawker Hotel Motel

It is abundantly clear that the toilet has never been properly cleaned — the stench and visible urine at the back of the toilet seat was overwhelming. We also had to endure what smelt like a broken sewage pipe wafting through the bathroom and room. The wall tiles are caked with built-up dirt, giving the impression of long-term neglect. The shower floods across the bathroom floor, particularly around the toilet area, which one might assume would help rinse it clean. Unfortunately, placing a white towel on the floor proved otherwise — it came up stained and filthy, highlighting just how unhygienic the surface truly is. The dining chairs are so deeply stained and unsanitary that sitting on them felt out of the question. As for the mattress — we weren’t brave enough to look. We required another bath towel to use, so visited the hotel laundry to get one, unfortunately we were unable to distinguish which pile of towels were clean and which were dirty, a total mess. The room was never made up or cleaned during our three nights there, the bowls and cups were visibly stained and no provisions supplied to clean or dry them. We ultimately cancelled our final night, unwilling to endure another evening in such filth. And disturbingly, we were told this was one of the better rooms.

Beautiful part of SA,lots of sights to see.Welcoming hospitality. Room was clean with a free upgrade. Food was excellent, very busy for a Monday night yet service was prompt. Cheers and will return for your ice-cold bevi..

I’ve been to some pubs and never have I walked into one that had plates and glasses from the night before still outside on the tables, food on the carpet inside not just one side but both sides of the hotel. My husband’s beer glass was dirty and asked for a new beer to still end up with a dirty glass again. We gave the food ago and no! Just no The pepper gravy was awful full of just cracked black pepper, gravy tasted like it had been reheated and used multiple times. Salad was I have no idea a port excuse for a salad that’s all I can say, me and my friend both got chicken schnitzels to which we did not even get half way through eating an just gave up, it was dry like really dry that the horrible gravy’s we got were not even saving it. My husband tried the curry to which after the second mouthful spat it out and said stuff this, it does not taste right and went to go an speak to a staff member to which he was told they would replace the meal for him. Waited over half hour to find out they were not replacing the meal at all, was ignored numerous times when asked for money back on that meal before we decided they were not worth the time anymore and told them we’d never recommend such a horrible nasty run down grubby hotel like this to anyone. This hotel needs saving and these are the wrong people running it, stick to service stations next time because what you’ve done to a beautiful hotel is just run it into the ground and not given a care in the world for it. Should be ashamed of yourselves
