Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Andamans

We had been contemplating an Andaman trip for a few years. However, we didn’t go ahead with the plan as the accommodations and facilities weren’t promising enough for our “ideal fancy holiday” randomness, which by the way, we were so wrong to assume. This we had not realised until this summer when we actually took our big step to explore the ethereal island no matter what. And, what a holiday it was! Without a second thought, we would credit our amazing holiday experience to the Taj Exotica Resort Andamans. From pick-up on Day 1 to welcoming us at the reception, room allocation, briefing on various preferred activities, local tips, drop-off at the ferry on our last day, and many other arrangements, the services were impeccable. Oh yes, they really know how to pamper their guests. Some of the little gestures which absolutely took us in awe: 1. An entourage of cheerful smiling faces welcomed us with earthly humility the moment we were seated at the reception lobby. 2. The service heads personally joined the group to welcome us giving it a very personalised experience. 3. Welcome drinks were tender coconut juice from real coconuts presented in flower-shaped handmade jute baskets. A 1000-point for the eco-friendly and creative thought! 4. A soulful welcome song (in local language) by the entourage. The song was about Andaman and the island’s beauty. 5. The ‘chilled-out’ check-in process, unlike the usual long formalities at 5-star properties. It was all done even before we realised, all while we were seated at the huge airy reception lobby sipping our coconut water. 6. When they heard that it was my bucketlist wish to do scuba on my birthday, they arranged for a special scuba diving slot despite all regular slots being full. 7. A complimentary framed photo that completely took us by surprise. They took a photo of you after your check-in process was complete. In the evening, they came and handed the photo placed inside a delicately shell-decorated frame. 8. A surprise goodbye flower bouquet by the housekeeping staff, made from flowers grown at the property garden. 9. A surprise bon-voyage cake-cutting arrangement after breakfast on the check-out day. 10. A surprise manta ray memento from the Taj as a bon voyage gift before we got into the car for our return journey. 11. And this one is our favourite and the sweetest ever: the entire staff crew dropped us at the car and bid us a heartfelt goodbye by waving with both hands and kept waving until the car was out of sight from the property. Why you must stay in Taj Andamans if you are planning for an Andaman Island(s) trip: 1. The property is built with eco-consciousness. You will find centuries-old heritage and iconic trees inside the property. 2. The property has private access to Radhanagar Beach. It pretty much feels like a private beach because no one really walks to this end of the beach from the public access area. 3. I had one of most wonderful experience at Taj Andaman!! The property as the name suggets gives an exotic experience. The high tea at beach side with the sunset is the highlight of the stay!! I enjoyed my stay and I would recommend the place if one is looking for a perfect getaway!!!!

Had the most amazing time at Taj Exotica.. The staff was extremely hospitable. Special call out to Abhishek and Manoharath for being great hosts and making us feel at home. Taj Exotica is several cuts above the rest and definitely one of the best properties we have ever holidayed in. We loved the fantastic food,the breathtaking view of the sea, the scenic pool, the clean n fabulous cottages . Overall it was a wonderful experience for the entire family and we look forward to our next stay with the Taj group of hotels.

We stayed for 2 days with family in Taj Exotica Resort, Havlock and kids totally loved the place. So beautifully licated, widespread in many acres, beautiful cottage rooms, amazing service. We loved the delicious food and breakfast buffet, also the evening tea with snacks near Radhanagar beach was another level of experience. Overall it was a great memorizing trip and will look forward to plan our another trip again for this place soon :) Thanks Taj team for making our trip so wonderful.

Great overall experience. Best property on Swaraj dweep. A special thanks to Chef Jai, abhishek from customer service and moi from Jiva. Also great inter tidal walk with Jyotish who is very knowledgeable on marine life. Only suggestion is that the outdoor tram must warn the guests about sand flies and advise long plain coloured clothing. Sand flies bites are terrible and stay with you for at least next 10 days.

Cradled by nature, just beside the Bay of Bengal this is a wonderful place to forget the daily drills of life and surrender in the warmth and mature luxury that only the Taj Group can offer. The wonderful luxury of the over-sized rooms, the ambience, the cleanliness, the food, the service, the spa, and everything else stood out. Everyone was super-attentive. But a big shoutout for - Reservation and Sales - Veera Front Desk - Abhishek, Kenneth, Pooja Taj Khazana - Jiban Restaurant - Prasenjit, Suraj, Sujit, Demi-Chef Jai Singh, Sous-Chef Arjit, Manager Mahendra Singh, Vikas Singh, Jagannath HK - Gaya, Biman, Adil, Raja Buggy - Sukracharya, Nilesh, Tapan Lifeguard - Raja Modal, Santosh Spa - Ram, Moi, Priyanka, Nandu Overall GM - Brij Mohan

I always maintained that while Taj food may be average, the housekeeping is exceptional. However was disappointed with the facilities at this Exotica brand resort. Housekeeping needs supervision. The facilities need better maintenance. Having earthworm and lizards in a room cannot be accepted with the price tag. Food is good and service is exceptional. No complaints in that front.

Amazing staff, property is clean, villas are spacious, we stayed in 3 different hotels(all 5 star) this time Taj was the best, wonderful beachside hotel, right front of radhanagar beach( best beach in Asia), food is tasty and delicious. Kids enjoyed this place.

The TAJ consistently ensures that guests are treated exceptionally well. The Andaman property is stunning, boasting scenic beauty and an ideal location near one of the most breathtaking beaches in Asia, Radhanagar Beach—far superior to the Maldives. The staff, especially who welcomed us, Mr. Prosenjith and team from the restaurant and pool and the special activity center( Jyothish and Mahesh), were outstanding in their care for us. We were warmly welcomed, and the staff even sang for us. Additionally, we enjoyed a fantastic night out at Settlers, which was specially curated for us. We immersed ourselves in the stories and cuisine of The Andaman during this memorable evening. Overall, we thoroughly loved our stay and will definitely return. Thank you!
