Hotel Havelock Gateway

This is THE WORST HOTEL I have ever entered in my entire life which spoiled our entire family vacation in Andaman. For those of you who have come here looking at reviews so you can book this hotel I beg you please do not make the mistake of booking here by looking at it online. Do take the time of reading my experience before you make this blunder. We had booked the hotel one month before the date online and also received a confirmation from the app. When we reached the hotel, they told us that there are no rooms at present so we will give you a room in a hotel called Joy just 1km away from here. And the hotel which they took us was a third quality hotel which was still under construction and also had too many water and electricity problems which they did not disclose but we got to know after looking at the online reviews. So we denied being there and it almost took half of our day in the Havelock Island with all of us with the luggage waiting without having lunch and it was almost 5.00pm. Then they showed us two more hotel which seemed fine and also promised we will provide the transport from here to the Havelock Hotel in case you want it. Later, the hotel where we stayed told us we do not provide extra mattress and there can only be two people in one room in this hotel. Then after fighting with the Havelock hotel manager we got an extra mattress and then we had to adjust. The next day they said as you people have booked two rooms one room is available in Havelock Gateway hotel now. So three of us shifted from the allotted hotel back to the Havelock Gateway Hotel. Then again we were shifted to the next room as the geyser was not working in the given room. For any kind of enquiry the manager is not available in the hotel and the staff are useless puppets who do not do anything without asking the manager. And hence, our Andaman family trip to HAVELOCK ISLANDS was completely RUINED and WASTED because of these fools in the name of HAVELOCK GATEWAY HOTEL. All that we expect after paying such a good amount for a hotel is a peaceful stay that's all, but these people ruined our entire trip by making us roam for two days and spoiling all our plans.

Straightforward Hotel in Havelock with good sized clean rooms and basic facilities like geyser, kettle, AC etc. Hotel has a decent sized swimming pool as well. Hotel is located near to the beach and other good restaurants of Havelock. Fish curry served by the restaurant was good. Tea and coffee were just ok. Complimentary breakfast was not very impressive for the price we paid for the rooms. Maybe better to not take complimentary breakfast and eat somewhere outside, lots of options are available in Havelock. Also water was filling in our bathroom after shower, which is not expected at such a property. Parking is outside the hotel for cars, two wheelers which is generally safe. Recommended to book the property only if available at fair price.

Location is good. Cleanliness is good. Room is spacious. Only need to improve a little bit is Service. During our stay, as per our experience, we didnot face any problem or any negativity. We like the hotel. I would totally recommend the hotel 👍🏿👍🏿

Good hotel to stay in Havelock, close to port. Clean rooms, good beds. Breakfast is very poor, but menu in restaurant is good. Very pleasant guy in restaurant which helped us with order “no spicy”. Right next to hotel is street food. Rent bile and explore island, and sleep good in Gateway. Ps: sometimes weak wifi

A good and new hotel in Havelock A kind of freshness is there . Breakfast and Dinner services have to be improved little Very near to Jetty and convenieant place Overall behaviour of staff is OK

It wae a fantastic stay in Havelock gateway.Each reception counter to housekeeping and restaurent are very cordial,co operative.food is very good.. overall an excellent experience.. keep it up . Food and Room beyond expectation god bless the property and would like to come here again soon . Asha, Sarita Ramesh, Sanjay, Neha wonderful staff , very well managed property and all department is good in their work.
