Save you’re self the stress I booked a whirlpool room from aug1-aug 4 for my birthday the whirlpool tub didn’t work when I complained the night I found out the night staff member told me that the manager would have to move my room the next morning. That the manager was the only one allowed to move rooms for any reason. But she told there were n Guests that were checking out that I could be moved to there rooms the next day. When I went to speak to the manager a woman named “Shannon” informed me that none of their whirlpool tubs worked. And that she had tried to get the to change the listing to garden tubs. I found out she was not the manager even. The whirlpool king suites are $19 a night more than a king suite. She offered me an 10% discount which was $45 about $10 a night not even the difference between the king suite and the whirlpool suite. She informed me there was no other room to move me to. After I called choice hotels a man named “Sham” who said he was the manager meets me at the desk with a maintenance man and this is about two hours later. He finds me a whirlpool room on the second floor that works and the maintenance man goes and fixes the other room. I fill the tub and turn it on and black mold come out of all the jets. But at this point I am just over the whirlpool tub. I was tired of the argument over the whirlpool room and the wasted time. During my stay there were 3 different holds placed on my account that I have on my choice app with out my knowledge and when I asked them they said they did not make them and do not know why they are there. Even though they are from their hotel by name location and location number. I have the pictures of the charges and the whirlpool. After posting a review of this hotel the general manager emails me and tell me I am no longer welcome at their hotel for posting a false review. As if you could pay me to go back. The staff was rude uninformed of how their system worked and how or why charges were added to your card. I had to lock my card. I am a diamond member of choice and have traveled with them as a travel nurse for 3 years and I have never had a hotel like this anywhere I. The country. I have copies of all the charges the whirlpool with mold and the rude emails the general manager sent me. And then she blocked me so I could not even respond to them. I am up loading those pictures here as well so they can not say this information is false. The general manager was not on property and I was told I could not speak to her. That she was not available. Then I received emails from her when she had no idea how long I had to argue with her staff and how rude they were. I spent hours in the lobby arguing with them about the whirlpool tub room and then the charges. That basically ruined my trip. Having a hotel make hundreds of dollars in unauthorized charges on your card is 100% unacceptable for any business.

There was a total of 8 dogs there when I live there from 1/8/2024 to 2/24/2024 fleas biting me even though they spray that is why i left, also the worst internet in the world for Havelock to be a military town..but the staff was helpful and polite

My family and I (11 people total - 6 children under the age of 13) stayed for one night at this location. I reserved 3 rooms months in advance. This was simply a stopover on the way to a local attraction. We arrived at 3:30pm - a half hour passed the check-in time. We were told our rooms were not yet ready and the front desk staff would text me in approximately 30 minutes when the rooms would be ready. We had several small sleeping children so we opted to let them sleep in running cars with AC and adult supervision. The older children were given permission by hotel staff to use the pool. I waited with the older children by the pool. After 30 minutes I had no contact from staff so I went back inside to the front desk. I was told the rooms were still not clean and they would let me know when we could be in them. I checked with the front desk staff 2 more times and another adult in my party also asked if the rooms would be ready. We were told the hotel was fully booked and they could not make other accommodations for us. However, we were able to log into the hotel website and clearly see that they were still taking reservations and had available rooms. I finally told the front desk staff that I would be expecting a refund since we were unable to use rooms we were paying for. Finally at 5:30pm, we were told that the hotel staff rearranged reservations to give us rooms that were already cleaned. I do not mind paying for a hotel room when I am able to use it, but this was utterly ridiculous!

Great pillows (rare these days so I travel with my own). Comfortable king size bed. Clean room . Nice breakfast (including a mix of hot & cold items). Friendly and courteous staff. Reasonable pricing on a holiday weekend (again so very rare these days). We will be back!

On checking in they wanted a $50 damage deposit. I have never been asked for that anywhere. I wonder if I will get it back. The coffee was not very good, bad really.. it seemed clean enough. The Wi-Fi was out. The tv was fair. I do wonder about the damage deposit

Good experience. Nice solid bed, lots of pillows. On the (slightly) down side the sink in the bathroom was the only thing that felt actually solid; one thought one was going to fall through the floor of the shower and the toilet wobbles a lot. But they survived. The property is set well back of the highway so it's nice and quiet. I appreciate that and I got good sleep. I was a bit concerned with all the guys hanging out in the parking lot; I've met tons of people in my life and never yet met anyone whose idea of a good time was to go hang out in the parking lot of a motel. But when the sun came up everything was intact. The receptionist was very nice, going out of her way to make sure I got my Choice Privileges points and even making me up a card to track them. But then on checkout the morning person tried to get me to sign a statement saying that I would NOT be getting those points, so that was a strange bait-and-switch. I refused to sign it. Overall a good, restful stay.

First off I am currently at this hotel writing this review. 1) Website says hot breakfast. What is hot, only the waffles you need to make. The EXTREMELY limited and poor breakfast area was completely out of juice, had only 3 bread/pastry options (include bread for toast) and had 3 cereal options. This was at best a very crappy continental breakfast McDonalds, here I come.... 2) Room Smelled like they made a long attempt to de-smoke the this hotel 3) Showerhead had a big opening in the wall (a hole in the wall where the showerhead is attached - the hole is pseudo-stuffed with toilet paper. 4) The door to the room is hollow, it is not a secure heavy door. Plus to can easily see light between the door and the door jam itself so the door is NOT trusting to be used and would never feel secure with a family in the rooms with a make-shift security door. Disappointing experience overall!

No elevator. We had to haul our suitcases up and down 2 flights of stairs. You'd think they'd offer to do it for you. We wandered around looking for the elevator and a maid told us there was none. I think they should of told us at check in and offered to help us 65ish year old. No handicap access either, so beware. We only stayed here one night, Thank God. Pool was not clean. We won't be back.
