Residence Inn Long Island Hauppauge/Islandia

I just needed to stay for one night for an event that was five minutes away. Picked this hotel because I needed a convenient location, and I always stay in Marriott properties when I can. (I"m Titanium Elite). I was in touch with Marj, through the chat function throughout the day, because I was hoping for an upgrade to a larger room. Unfortunately, the hotel was sold out, and I couldn't get the upgrade, but I have to say, she tried really hard to make it happen! Both Marj and the other woman at the front desk were friendly and welcoming. The studio room is big enough. My only complaint would be that there are no king size beds. I might not select this hotel again if I'm with my husband because we sleep better in a king; the bed seemed small. The room was clean, the breakfast was fine - overall it served it's purpose!

Excellent property located mid Long Island. We stayed for one night on the way to the Hamptons with a Peter Luger steakhouse dinner reservation. Checking in was a little hectic. Upon getting to our room we realized it’s a studio with a sofabed instead of the one bedroom in our reservation document. We have to go back to the front desk to explain our son was recovering from brain surgery can we please get the one bedroom unit so he can be more comfortable. The young lady at the front desk. Miss Sarah realized the error and did the amazing gesture to upgraded us to a two bedroom unit. Thank you again Sarah! Both units we have view and used are excellent. Clean. Spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is great. Love the Marriott brand.

How could a hotel not have filtered water available for their clients. We had to buy bottled water at $5.00 a bottle. Next time I will give the Hampton Inn a try. Hotel was just ordinary nothing special. We’ve stayed at Residence Inns across the country and I recall them all having water at the front desk where you could take a glass or fill your bottles. I know it sounds little but to me it’s the small things that count!!

Residence Inn by Marriott Long Island Hauppauge/Islandia is conveniently located a few minutes away from Interstate 495. Hotel staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Lobby and corridors appeared clean and well maintained. Guest room included worn, but functional amenities; and guest suite room and bathroom were generally clean. Guest room kitchen and bathroom fixtures were a bit worn but functional. Breakfast buffet was good quality fare with very limited selection. Many take-out and restaurant options within proximity of hotel but not within walking distance. Vehicle traffic noise is prevalent in the front of the hotel as the main entrance faces Hauppauge Central High School's track and field and busy state route 454. Overall, very good experience. I would consider returning to this hotel when conducting business in Hauppauge in the future.

This is my 4th Christmas at this hotel. Family is nearby so the location is excellent. Quality stay for the price. Free parking and breakfast included. The staff is accommodating and friendly. We really enjoy the inn. It is safe and many families stay here. Highly recommend this inn.

NO king beds or 2 Queen beds in entire hotel! All rooms have one queen bed and pull out sofa. Hotel just looks dirty…I have to laugh about some of the reviews saying how “yummy” the breakfast is - it is all pre-made sandwiches that are warmed up in the oven in the wrappers they came in. Wonder if these are the same people that buy those 7/11 sandwiches for their kids dinner every night? Breakfast was just a joke. No evening reception. Just a gross hotel. I will say the staff was very friendly.
