Camellia Hills

Camellia Hills is a peaceful and relaxing haven with delightful staff, delicious food, good wine, and plenty of activities. (We did the cooking demonstration which was superb, canoed on the reservoir and, tomorrow, will visit a tea factory on our way back to Colombo). The views from the property are unparalleled, and the gardens are beautiful (apart from the leeches) but getting there from Kandy was quite challenging due to the traffic and narrowness of the road.

One of our favourite places in sri lanka (and we live here so have been to stay in a lot of hotels..) We came back for the second time. Beautiful location overlooking the lake, lovely rooms, delicious food, super friendly staff great with young kids, and amazing walks around. Just ideal

This place is indeed a hidden haven in the mountains of Hatton, Sri Lanka.. It's about 5 to 6 hours car ride from the Colombo Airport.. This place is really worth the wait and the travel. I could say it is the best serene hotel i've ever stayed and been to. It's like a piece of heaven on Earth.. It's very very relaxing to the highest level. The vibe is so tranquil. It's so peaceful... The staff service is outstanding. They are very welcoming and accommodating. The food is very tasty and well-made.. I really loved the food here.. We were given a very nice room fronting the beautiful mountains and scenic views... I wish i could just live here forever.. Thank you very much to DINUKA, MAHESH, UPUL, and Chef NAMAL. You made our stay very comfy and more worthwhile.

We loved our stay at Camellia Hills. Beautiful accommodation and exceptional food. The staff are fantastic, especially the butlers and chef who cater to your every need. Loved walking down to the lake and around the tea plantation. Thanks to everyone for making our stay a real treat!!

We had an absolutely amazing time at Camellia Hills. The rooms were spotless, with great décor which felt like home. The food delicious and the view was beyond amazing! The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable, especially would like to thank Azhar and Manoj. Nothing was too much trouble. Definitely a property we would go back.

Camellia Hills is a delightful boutique hotel nestled amongst the tea plantations near Dickoya with often misty views across the Castlereagh Valley. We had a relaxing couple of days including a visit to the nearby tea factory. Staff were attentive and friendly and we enjoyed long conversations with the excellent chef and wait staff. Good selection of cocktails and wine. The menu was excellent with a realistic number of options that could be done well with fresh ingredients.

Upon arrival we were greeted by a splendid Gin and Tonic overlooking the beautiful lake. Our corner suite was just amazing and the outside terrace was a fantastic place to take breakfast. Staff are very friendly, food fantastic and the experiences you can book in the hotel are grand We have done both the tea tour, canoeing on the lake and wine and small bites on “the secret place” and all were an amazing experience Really nothing to complain about..except perhaps for the leeches 🤔

Talk about heaven and quality! Camellia Hills is not only located in the most incredible spot, the views are to die for and the staff are so efficient, friendly and helpful, it's a must-visit whilst anyone is in Sri Lanka. We were the only couple there for two of our three nights and the attention to detail was phenomenal. Nothing was too much effort and every wish catered for. You must try the waterfall picnic and the cookery class. I would recommend having a room with a balcony to sit out and enjoy the view. 10/10 to all!

a memorable stay for my husband and I excellent service and hospitality from each and every member of staff. meals surpassed our expectations and the view and our stay was splendid. 2 nights was not enough and our tour of the tea factory was vey interesting. Thank you so much
