Miyajima Hotel Makoto

Khách sạn nằm trên một con phố yên tĩnh đẹp đẽ n*** gần con phố chính ở Miyajima. Khách sạn khá cũ, nhưng điều này không làm hỏng ấn tượng của chúng tôi chút nào. Thật bất thường khi ngủ trên chiếu thay vì trên giường. Ở Miyajima mọi thứ đóng cửa khá sớm, ở tầng trệt của khách sạn có máy bán nước, đồ uống lạnh và bia tự động, rất tiện lợi. Phòng tắm hơi cũng mở cửa đến 12 giờ sáng!

Hotel con habitación muy amplia estilo japonés con zona de comedor, recibidor… ducha separada del baño. Personal muy amable y onsen agradable. Está relativamente cerca de los lugares de interés ya que el pueblo es muy pequeño, pero hay una pequeña cuesta hasta llegar a él que si vas con mucho equipaje puede resultar cansado. No obstante, estancia muy agradable.

在碼頭附近，上一個小山坡，環境清靜，浴池不大，幸好人也不算多。早餐精美，部份服務員來自台灣，溝通不成問題。 酒店六樓房間可看到要害山宮尾城舊跡（嚴島合戰發生地），側望能遠眺大鳥居，景觀尚可。

Chúng tôi đã dành hai đêm tại khách sạn này trong một căn phòng truyền thống. Nó nằm cách bến tàu 5 phút qua một con đường nhỏ không có vỉa hè (leo lên vài mét cuối cùng). Nó cũng cung cấp một xe đưa đón. Căn phòng rộng và sạch sẽ. Đã ngủ trên đệm futon nên những người ở khách sạn đặc biệt gầy. Chúng tôi chỉ có thể đặt phòng có tầm nhìn ra “núi”. Nằm trên tầng 4 trên 6, phòng của chúng tôi nhìn ra một bức tường (phòng 409). Khách sạn chắc hẳn được xây dựng vào những năm 60/70. Không có gì thay đổi kể từ đó.

Chúng tôi đã có khoảng thời gian thoải mái trong bầu không khí yên tĩnh. Mặc dù nhân viên không phải là người Nhật nhưng anh ta là một chàng trai trẻ dễ mến với cách cư xử và ngôn ngữ lịch sự. Được giáo dục tốt. Xuống tàu có thể đi bộ được nhưng đường lên dốc nên gọi xe đến đón sẽ tốt hơn. Bạn có thể đi bộ xung quanh khu vực.

Located a few minutes walk from the ferry port and easy walking distance to Itsukushima Shrine and all the shops/restaurants. This was my first time in a ryokan/ryokan style hotel, fortunately I’d done my research and knew what to expect with regard to mealtimes and the facilities. The hotel is a bit on the old side, but that just added to the charm for me. I was in room 308 which was a Japanese-style single. The main room was very spacious, with a good amount of storage and even a large safe (with an actual key), which I was all very happy about as more modern hotel rooms I stayed in on my trip could not offer the same. The bathroom had separate rooms for the toilet and shower/bath wetroom and the counter level for the sinks seemed to be a bit low. The room lobby (for want of a better description) has a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. WiFi was fine (not much phone signal), I didn’t use the TV at all. In the cupboard/wardrobe there is a yukata to wear when in the hotel if you wish (which I did in the evenings for dinner). My booking had breakfast and dinner included, which was taken in a dining room on the second floor. Each room has their own table. No matter the meal it’s a set menu of several courses of what I believe has a lot of locally sourced seafood. To be honest I had no idea what most of it was (even after using Google Translate on the menu) but it’s all part of the fun! I ate everything that was put in front of me and didn’t go hungry. The hotel also has a sento (public bath) which while par for the course regarding Japan, maybe a bit unusual to a Westerner. Again, I knew what I was letting myself in for (please do your research on the correct etiquette) so I visited to both clean up and relax a bit before dinner. I found the staff to be very friendly and extremely helpful, with some on the front desk speaking prefect English if your Japanese falls a bit short. One day I had left quite early for the day and came back quite late and was addressed by name on my return to confirm my meal times, which was a nice surprise. Even though this wasn’t my first choice of hotel in Miyajima and it did take a little bit of adjustment regarding the whole ryokan experience, overall I had a great stay and had a suitably relaxing time. I would happily stay here again if given the option.
