Premier Inn Harrogate Town Centre

Not impressed to pay extra for a countryside view but didn't get that. There was a strange throbbing noise constantly which was really unpleasant. We were on the top floor so we wondered if the noise came from some sort of mechanism on the roof. Went down to report it but no staff at reception despite ringing the bell. Didn't realise we got ultimate WiFi included until I checked my emails the next day, but could only get it on one device. Got water everywhere when I took the reservoir off the coffee machine. I don't think I'll book a premier room again as the most important things, cleanliness and comfy bed, you get with a standard room.

I want to start the review by saying how friendly and helpful the staff are at this hotel. They are the saving grace . We have stayed at many Premier Inns and all have been good to exceptional depending on their age and location. This one is “tired” it needs a good decoration. Our bedroom 516 needed a good dust, cobwebs on light fittings , dirty window( on the outside) bugs on the lampshade . The whole place needs investment. The lift from the car park is out of order, the bar in the hotel is poorly stocked, very little choice of drinks. If you have mobility issues it’s quite away to walk and uphill to the main attractions in Harrogate . Personally I wont be returning .

From the outside the hotel looks quite good, however inside, the decor and furnishings (including reception corridors and rooms) is extremely tired and shabby, with a lot of stains. The staff however were very polite, helpful and professional. I also feel that the car parking charge (£20 for 24hrs) is exessive

Contrary to some recent bad reviews of this Premier Inn, our room was most acceptable and comfortable. All staff were pleasant and helpful and the food and service was very good. The staff work very hard but it's obvious they are understaffed as this seems to be the case in other Premier Inns we have stayed in.

We enjoyed our one night stay here in Harrogate, and in particularly at the Premier Inn Harrogate North. Much as you would expect as far as decor. and facilities are concerned, we had upgraded to a Premier room. But the hotel was excellent, and the staff also- very helpful and cheerful. Good location near the Gardens.
