Golden Tulip Président Hammamet

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The food was very delicious. When I first came, I was a bit afraid, because I am a vegetarian and I don’t eat meat. The hotel offers a variety of fish, as well as fresh fruits and vegetables. We have booked a bungalow, but since it was not available, the manager Khaimes offered us a room with a sea view free of charge. He was very kind and polite. I should say that I am an experienced traveler and I have stayed at different hotels, but if you want to enjoy the clean water of the sea and good service, this is a good option. I highly recommend it ❤️

The staff are amazing! Especially Nawel! She is always happy to help and will make sure you have an excellent stay! It was my birthday and she made it very special. The waiters and cleaners are very helpful and always have a smile on their faces. Marwa is helpful. Haykel is amazing and always happy to help with any issues. Haroun, Zohra and Ayman are great staff members always made me feel welcome! Room are always clean and have a great view.

Booked a ten day holiday not knowing what to expect, apart from going during the holy time of Ramadan, which did mean that most restaurants and local shops are shut as it's out of season. However, the weather was lovely in comparison to Britain (shorts and t-shirt), the outdoor swimming pool was a bit too cold but the indoor pools were lovely and warm. The all inclusive food, though limited due to the number of guests, there was still something on offer at all 3 meals to have. Sometimes the food could do with being cooked longer and kept hotter. Though the omelette and pancakes for breakfast which were cooked fresh were lovely. The entertainment team of Salah and Anis were great, easy to talk to and very engaging considering how it wasn't the main season. I can only imagine what they are like when there is lots of people. The reception staff were extremely helpful with booking taxis and any questions.

June 2024 Overall I would rate the hotel as a 2star at a push . I would like to say the Animation /Entertainment staff , especially Willy were extremely friendly and helpful at all times . They did not badger you as guests and respected your space . With regret our stay at the Golden Tulip was far from a great experience. Upon our arrival we could see that the reception area was busy we were told to have a seat and we would be served complimentary drinks . The wait was a little longer than expected and we were never served any drinks. But the exception maybe because it was busy!! I soon realised that as there was only WiFi in the reception and bar area, guests would gather in that area to use their phones ! As a couple we paid for a Bungalow and I specifically requested a double bed. We were given 3 single beds!! 2 of the beds pushed together . The bathroom and the room was not cleaned sufficiently, the shower was cold … fridge didn’t work. We expressed our disappointment and requested a room change . We were initially told the hotel was fully booked. After trying to explain the room was of a poor standard in addition to no WiFi in the rooms… no phones in the rooms. In an emergency what would you do? Broken fridge, stains on the furniture which I used tissue to remove, indicated that the cleanliness was unsatisfactory. We insisted on another room in the main hotel or another Bungalow. We waited over an hour before we were shown another Bungalow. This again was not satisfactory, the room was unkept and dated , the towels were not even white and rough like sandpaper. When I asked for another towel I was told by housekeeping ‘No’!! Eventually we settled for another bungalow as we realised that the general standard is inadequate. The majority of the hotel staff were friendly however, a hit and miss for the despondent man on the station for Omelettes!!! The food is bland and not a huge variety. What they offer as a ‘snack’ is diabolical. Nevertheless, you can find something to eat. Water in bottles are only served from 10am, the water cooler at breakfast is a health hazard, avoid it at all costs. We asked to play pool as it was advertised that there was a pool table . We showed the staff pictures and to our surprise, they had no clue as they said they do not have such a room or a pool table!! . We asked to play tennis, you’re provided with aging tennis rackets, one the tape was unraveling around the handle! The court is in need of a serious revamp! Regardless, we made the best of it. Those of you who have cat allergies beware, they are predominantly around the seating area where guests eat . Not sure if they are pets or stray . Either way, they are encouraged by guests and run around and sit on the chairs . There was constant building and maintainece work being done around us… which for health and safety reasons this is dangerous and exceedingly noisy !! Lastly, the so called private beach was busy with a lot of rubbish and worn sun lounges

A lovely hotel, it truly is mainly down to the staff, whom are amazing and really put everything into catering to the guests. The animation team are brilliant and always ensure the guests are entertained, especially the children. Thank you 😘

Our experience here was absolutely amazing all the staff are so welcoming but we would like to give a massive shout out to salim in bar staff and also mongei Ali the photographer made us feel so welcome and also got my girlfriend a gift also the entertainment team guchi,zan and willy the rest of the team was amazing also and never fail to keep a smile on your face we met lovely friends here and had a amazing 10 night stay please don’t believe the bad reviews as they couldn’t be more false we was sceptical on our way here but we thought we would give it a chance and are already planning our next stay at the golden tulip thankyou so much it has been a blast!

Great hospitality, lovely staff who provided great entertainment. Rooms were cleaned daily. Food was cooked and served to a really hight standard, out of resort entertainment was also provided for a very reasonable price for what we got out of it.

Le Golden Tulip President Hammamet est un charmant petit hôtel. Les chambres y sont spacieuses et impeccablement propres grâce à une équipe de ménage formidable. Le restaurant propose chaque jour un buffet varié, alliant plats européens et spécialités locales, offrant ainsi une expérience culinaire diversifiée et authentique. Idéal pour un séjour agréable ! 🌟 L'équipe d'animation est géniale. Spécial dédicace à Djo, Zan et Willy qui nous auront bien fait rire ! :D Nous sommes allés dans cet hôtel entre amis et franchement, c'est un super rapport qualité-prix malgré la fermeture temporaire pour les travaux de la deuxième piscine qui devrait revenir rapidement. J'ai juste un petit mot pour le directeur : Monsieur le directeur, s'il vous plaît, faites un terrain de pétanque, il ne manque que ça ! :D À bientôt

A beautiful hotel although some of the pictures are of the closed down hotel next door. The food was also a hit or miss. The staff there are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met in my life. They have staff there for entertainment called “animation”: Djo, Karlos, Willy, Zan and more who are all amazing people. They would come by, talk to you and offer you to do some on-site activities with them and other stayers such as mini golf, darts, Arabic lessons etc. There are bartenders like Atif and reception staff like Ilyas who all go above and beyond to make your holiday memorable. Aladdin, who is the henna artist at the hotel is perfect with his craft. At first me and my wife were worried because she is allergic to black henna but he reassured us that he uses only natural ingredients and that if there were any problems with his work, he’d help us heal it and give us a full refund. His artwork is beautiful and he does the job extremely quick. If you go, he’s definitely worth a try! My biggest problem was with the manager of the animation who was also the DJ and referred to as ‘chef’. He was rude, condescending and downright disrespectful. He would favour the tourists who spoke French or Arabic and play any songs that they requested but when I or any other English speaking tourist requested a song, he would try to charge us 100 dinar (£25) per song and would be very rude about it too!
