Hampton Inn Cincinnati-Northwest/Fairfield

Vacation Family 7/3-7/7/24 visit. Staff we had contact with was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was more than adequate. The room darkening shades were great. From there we were very disappointed. Both beds were broken down on the side everyone sits on so bad you felt like you were rolling uphill to the opposite side. Furniture is so old the varnish was all sticky and soft on all the edges. Floors and carpet were disgustingly filthy. The bathroom had no exhaust fan and the water pressure was horribly weak. The air/heat unit was very loud and disturbed our sleep. The fridge did keep our items very cold. Room service is only every other day so we had to chase down our own towel replacements. Hotel staff chooses to park in the front drive-up area blocking traffic. The spa had a sign "out of service". The lock on the back outside exit door at the end of our hallway was not operating so they had the lock taped over which allowed anyone to come and go as they pleased 24/7. When we called about it the night clerk lied to us and told us it would be secured at night. The day clerk the next morning told us it had been broken for weeks. In this day in age this is a huge security risk to patrons. This hotel standards are far from what we have always enjoyed in the past staying at many Hilton locations. We do not recommend staying here and we will never use this location again. We took pictures for proof. Check out the pictures of our dirty white socks after walking on the floors. just now on Google Stayed 8.9-8.11.24 -- stayed in room 408. Nice room, cool you can control everything from your phone. Only issues loud AC, slippery tub and a shower that doesn't drain well But... their saving grace is Bonnie at the front. People were so rude, and she was patient. They were telling long stories as she had a line to check out, she was patient and helpful. She apologized to all complaints. All while helping a newer employee with things. If Hampton doesn't recognize an amazing employee, I'll hire her!!

The hotel was disappointing. The room was clean, but we soon discovered there was no hot water in our room. We reported this to the front desk and were told that we couldn’t switch rooms, as the hotel was full, but they would have the manager contact us. We were never contacted and had to deal with cold water for the night. On checking out the next day, we mentioned the issue again and were told all they could do was a $20 refund for the inconvenience. We accepted this and left, but did not feel that this was a satisfactory compensation. When my credit card was charged, we were charged for the whole amount - NO refund. Never contacted by rhe manager. Had to contact Hilton to get the promised refund. We will not be staying here again.

This is one of a few hotels in my travels that I didn’t find a single fault. Not even a minor one. First off, Bonnie was super sweet and helpful. I called early in the day to ask about early check in. She actually called back to confirm that it could be done. Most hotels don’t call you back to confirm something. That is super service. The room itself was clean and comfortable. The wifi worked great for being on the top floor. It’s often spotty in most hotels. I would definitely stay here again. It checked all the boxes

Whenever we travel we tend to stay at Hampton’s if rooms are available and not overly pricey. Room rates tend to get expensive when occupancies are high ( supply and demand ). This particular hotel has always been our choice when we are in town visiting my sister. It is convenient to the local airport and car rental places when I fly into the area. Even when we drive places to eat are also close by. This recent trip we arrived and moved all our stuff into the room only to find out the heat wouldn’t work. The young men at the desk confirmed the problem and moved us to another room which turned out to work better. The manager did reduce our bill for that first night of inconvenience after I ran into him on Monday. Great guy to work with. The breakfast fare is pretty much the same as other places but since all I ever have is coffee and cereal I’m good. The place is clean and kept up. There was a car breakin while we were there which I thought very unusual as the hotel isn’t real close to areas where one would think that stuff would happen .Thry are now really pet friendly with areas for pets to relieve themselves. This may make some unhappy but in my experience pets are less destructive and problematic at times than some humans. The staff here are very friendly and helpful . While we were here there was a large wedding party staying so it was busy

The Hampton Inn Cincinnati -Northwest/Fairfield was clean and comfortable.The second floor room had great sunshine coming through the widows that had double shades. The shades were easily operated, and worked just fine.You were able to block out the sun light or allow the sun light in, full force. The area has a nearby mall. The complimentary breakfast tasted good. Parking was no problem. Guest services was very welcoming.

Quiet, clean, and comfortable. We stayed at this Hampton after experiencing issues at a nearby Hampton. We are so glad we changed. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the house keeping staff keep the place spotless, the breakfast was well-stacked and very clean Very comfortable rooms and bed. Pool area was very nice. The hotel is next to a large closed mall so the location does not seem great, but it is only 2 minutes from the interstate. Only "complaint" is that the breakfast area is very small for the size of the hotel, so it gets very crowded very quickly.

Readers should understand that for chain hotels, I rate them 4 if they live up to chain standards. So the 5 rating here means this one was a cut above. We chose this location for an overnight stay as we celebrated my birthday in the area. It was convenient, and it had suites with whirlpool tubs as an option--an indulgence that I love. The accommodations were fine, nice and clean. Hampton has started replacing the tiny shampoo and conditioner bottles with pump dispensers in the shower, which pleases me since it's more environmentally sound. The whirlpool tub, as happens so often, needfed a litttle maintenance--the faucet was loose and a couple of jets weren't pumping--but I'm, confident they worked on it after I reported it the next morning at check-out. What set this place on a higher level was the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the free breakfast. In particular, the man who worked the breakfast was a delight. The breakfast fare itself--pre-made mini omelets, sweet smoked sausage, potatoes, and the usual make-your-waffle and pastries--was a welcome level of variety and quality that seems to have gotten lost in many places during the pandemic.

This Hampton Inn sure didn't meet my expectations. We've always had such good luck with Hamptons, and this was a little disappointing. The place needs some TLC. There were ceiling tiles missing in the hallway, marks on the walls, and the breakfast was no big deal. I usually find a welcome packet in hotel rooms that assist you with restaurant suggestions, activities, and how to work the TV, etc., but nothing in this one. The TV and shower are not intuitively easy to figure out. The young man at the desk came to our room three times to help us figure out the TV, the shower, and the heat. Someone had unplugged the extension cord that goes to the heater. Maybe we're just getting too old. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean. If you're staying for more than one night, you have to request housekeeping services. Maybe that's standard now in all hotels; I don't know. But the pillows on the bed were the absolute worst I've ever encountered. Take your own!
