The worst hotel experience in my life. In todays life the Internet connectivity is number one priority keep clients happy. In this hotel you have internet everywhere but not in the rooms. There is no telephone in the room. I had to go downstairs and talk to reception, while could make a simple phone call. The ladies at reception also don’t understand the issue and tell that they have to restart the service. However the WiFi signal is being lost once you enter the room and close the door. The construction behind the window is another bad side of the stay. No water in the bottle, no kettle or coffee machine. But they give the hot water at the bar. You can take it to the room. Will never ever stay in this chain in any country even for free of charge.

The room was booked for me, so I did not choose it. The check-In worked out quite good, so my room was ready, but the bath room was a bit dirty and the shower wall construction was not handy at all. The room was quite and the breakfast was decent. Also they stored my baggage for free after check-out, so I did have a decent stay there.

Hotel is handy to the cathedral, which is what I wanted. No restaurants close for proper German food. Sandwiches available at the bar. The city isn't really very German, but many other cultural foods are available. Such a shame. I would have loved a traditional German pub, but there isn't one.

I travel a lot and this hotel was just terrible. At 746 euro for 2 nights one would expect for the hotel to have some basics. Rooms too small and if you are an international traveler with even one suitcase you won’t fit. The front desk staff had serious bad attitude, rude and not caring. During my stay the room air conditioning was not working and we seriously cooked in the room both nights. There was no tea facility in the room. No shower cap or toothbrush. They had large bottle of soaps half filled. Carpet dirty. We could not charge to our room Our drinks we had in the bar in the lobby . It had to be paid for. No water in the room. It seems this hotel is just suited for business travelers locally who most probably paid one third of what I paid for the room. I would never return to this hotel.

Great hotel in an excellent location. Bed was very comfortable with good facilities. Wonderful helpful and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast starts at 6am ideal for guests travelling to the airport. Taxi fare to the airport was 32 euros or take the U and then S bahn. Good location a few minutes to the U and Sbahn station. The Dom Fair held 4 times a year is only few minutes walk away near the U and Sbahn station at St Pauli. I like Motel One Michel, therefore, i thoroughly recommend future guests staying there. I will be back very soon.

Why bother to write a review about a Motel One stay ? I do it because they are doing a great job and deserve to be recognized for it. The Hamburg Michel property is another one in my collection of positive stays: Hotel location could not be more central, close to all good spots of the city. Quiet on top of it, and even if you look out on the busy street, the windows are well insulated. Room, equipment and bathroom is spotlessly clean -the usual MO standard, but this one was superwell done. The bed is on the soft side, very comfy and gives a great sleep. Best was the staff -I really praise them for their no-attitude style, friendliness and professional approach. They don't raise their eyebrows if you ask for a special room, want another towel, ask for a reservation modification or whatever else they can do for you. I love their can-do attitude and I often miss it in properties that claim to be fancier and better. This MO has nothing to hide and can compete with many 5star hotels. I loved Hauke, Ghislaine and Emily -top staff that others can learn from. Will be back :) thank you for the warm welcome.

The hotel is perfectly located for the Elbphilharmonie and all the other attractions in and around the St. Pauli district. Although the rooms are small, they are clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially those employed in the hotel bar. The only problem we had during our stay was with the air conditioning system which couldn't be turned off and was so noisy that it was not possible to sleep well.

Price felt slightly high but I wasn’t involved in the booking process so didn’t have much to compare to in the area. Room was small, very clean and with appropriate air con. We opted against breakfast due to mentions here stating it could be a bit crammed and chaotic - and I could see why people said that. Location was close to St Pauli U-Bahn, maybe 3-4 mins walk. Hamburg felt like a small big city and walking wasn’t out of the question although we made good use of our ‘9 euro ticket’ in the hot weather. If you go out the back door of the hotel and go right then left there are 2 decent supermarkets within a short walk. There was also a bakery / coffee house where he had breakfast on one morning.

I have been sleeping at the motel during meeting so I took night&breakfast. Motel is very well situated near Landungsbrucken station and river as well as public transport (bus, ferries, tram). Very clean rooms and the breakfast is open from 6-10.

Это худший отель в Германии за 20 лет путешествий. Я жил в номере 132, и не спал три ночи. Номер находится рядом со служебной лестницей и служебным помещением. Поскольку шумоизоляция в отеле отсутствует, грохот постоянно открываемой и закрываемой двери не дает возможности заснуть. Я не знаю кто создавал этот шум и кто хлопал дверью. Но примерно с 10 вечера и до 2 или 3 часов ночи мой номер содрогался от ударов. Поскольку это были служебные помещения , я предполагаю, что шум создавали сами сотрудники отеля. Да, в отеле скудные завтраки, да тут очень маленькие комнаты. Но по соавнению с бессонными ночами все это не кажется большой проблемой. Поскольку номер оплатила моя компания, я, к сожалению, не мог уехать из этого отвратительного места.

Gut gelegenes Hotel. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß zu erreichen. Auch das Hotel ist gut z.B. mit der U Bahn zu erreichen. Die Zimmer sind modern eingerichtet. Für einen Wochenende sind die Zimmer ausreichend groß. Das Personal war durchgehend sehr nett/ freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war ok Als wir das Hotel besucht haben war es sehr voll. Wir hatten Mühe z.B. beim Frühstück einen Platz zu bekommen. Auch Abend an der Bar war es sehr voll.

Wir sind zeitig am Freitag angereist um das Wochenende in Hamburg zu verbringen. Dass die Zimmer noch nicht für den Bezug freigegeben waren, war uns bewusst und kein Problem. Also unseren Wunsch nach einem ruhigen Zimmer mit Blick Richtung Michl / Landungsbrücken geäußert, ebenfalls kein Problem, sogar eine Auswahl der Etage war möglich. Perfekt…….dachten wir! Als wir dann gegen späten Nachmittag aus der Stadt zurück kamen und unser Zimmer beziehen wollten, die Überraschung. Der Zimmerwunsch war nicht mehr aufzufinden, aber man hätte noch ruhige Zimmer,allerdings mit Baustellenblick oder Zimmer zur Straße. Echt enttäuschend!!

Die schlechteste Hotelerfahrung, die ich je in meinem Leben gemacht habe. Die Rezeption war nicht nett. Eines Tages fragte ich die Rezeptionistin mit ganz normaler Stimme, wann es Frühstück gibt. Sie antwortete, dass ich schon im Hotel gewesen sei und es schon wüsste. (Ich denke, wenn man im Hotel eine Frage gestellt bekommt, sollte man sie beantworten, ich meine mit einer Antwort und nicht arrogant zurückfragen. Warum sollte ich wissen, wann das Frühstück kommt?) Am nächsten Tag war der Hotel Supervisor da und war sehr unfreundlich. Ich fragte, ob wir uns auf Englisch verständigen könnten. Sie sagte, sie könne das nicht. Ich kann nicht glauben, dass im Jahr 2024 ein Hotel Supervisor nicht perfekt Englisch spricht. Es war eine Entscheidung seinerseits. Das ist arrogant und nicht gastfreundlich.

Mit Abstand das schlechteste Hotelzimmer. Ein E-Scooter Parkplatz direkt vor dem Hotelzimmerfenster, somit musste den ganzen Tag der Fenster Vorhang und das Fenster geschlossen bleiben da vor dem Fenster immer wieder Menschen standen die Scooter angemietet bzw. abgestellt hatten und das natürlich auch nachts. Absolute Frechheit, das der Zimmerpreis vollständig berechnet worden ist.
