The Scotty Hotel Hamburg

Quite new hotel at a walking distance from the Haubtbahnhof. Not so nice surroundings (industrial) but with a walking distance to the centre. The hotel itself was very nice and it had been open only for 2 months when we stayed there. The staff aren't entirely service minded. The first person we met was very nice and welcoming when we wanted to leave our luggage as we came too early for check-in. The person behind the counter when we arrived for check in seemd to wonder what on earth we wanted. The room was comfortable but I didn't like the big pillows. Very clean and fresh.

This is a great new hotel in Hamburg. It is sort of within walking distance of the Hauptbahnhof, but if you have luggage you may want to take the subway one stop. The room was gorgeous and brand new. I really appreciated the quality linens and furniture. The bathroom was great as well. They did not have their breakfast buffet available and I chose not to get the pre-ordered breakfast, because it seemed pricy for what was offered. That was in April, so hopefully they have the buffet available now.

Hotel rooms are really nice and you can tell it's been an expensive renovation. Good amount of channels on the television also and some english speaking ones as I only have a minimal grasp of german language to put it charitably. Large supermarket nearby and the staff are very pleasant also. Overall a really nice modern hotel!

Vier Nächte in diesem äußerst modernen und stylischen Hotel haben mich überzeugt…. Bei meiner nächsten Reise nach Hamburg werde ich hier wieder übernachten! Tolle Zimmer, ein leckeres Frühstück und ein freundlicher Service. Fünf Gehminuten von der U-Bahn-Station entfernt, kann man Hamburg gut erkunden. Ein großer Supermarkt und diverse Lokale sind ebenfalls fußläufig erreichbar. Eine sehr gute Wahl!

Optisch innen ist das Hotel sehr schön - Lobby, Restaurant, Bar und auch Zimmer sind modern und sauber. Das Frühstück vielfältig und lecker! Das Personal sehr freundlich! Allerdings war es mir im Zimmer zu kalt. Alle Zimmer haben keine Heizung, sondern ein Klimagerät, das es bei 8 Grad Außentemperatur NICHT schaffte, den Raum (Zimmer 603) auf ca. 22 Grad zu heizen, da die Fensterfront zu schwach isoliert/gedämmt ist! Das Klimagerät ging für 20 Grad die ganze Nacht jede Stunde an und puste die Luft Richtung Bett! Das Bad hat zudem keine Heizung, ist viel zu kalt und auch die offene Dusche ist eine Fehlkonstruktion und führt zu nassem Boden. Der Straßenlärm ist durch die 2-fach Glas-Fenster zu laut! Allerdings: mir wurde am nächsten Tag direkt ein neues Zimmer (604) gegeben. Dort war die Fensterfront kleiner u die Temperatur war angenehmer. Dennoch ging das Klimagerät mehrfach in der Nacht an, da es sonst zu kalt wurde. Das Bad hatte auch keine Heizung u war kalt. Aus meiner Sicht ist hier bei dem vor ca. 6-9 Monaten renovierten Hotel ein großer Fehler bei der Heizung (nur Klimageräte) begangen worden. Schade, da sonst alles stimmte.

Es war wie letztes Jahr fantastisch. Wir hatten einen sehr schönes Zimmer. Unser Sohn möchte nächstes Jahr nicht mehr nur für eine Nacht sondern für mehrere Tage übernachten. Bisher haben wir immer nur einen Zwischenstop mit einer Übernachtung gebucht.
